Another satisfying display from our lads yesterday without being to flattering, an away 3-1 victory at any ground is proof we are improving, our recent history hasn't been exactly brilliant, thought our CB's are starting to understand one another more and making less mistakes, Toure & Skrtel have been particularly good, and Sakho is getting better, Hendo's a fish up a tree at the mo and needs to be more skilful going forward, Moses has to put more effort in full stop,

Got away with the Lucas/Gerrard issue although both were better than they have recently, Gerrard's distribution was brilliant one minute not so the next, Lucas booking was harsh but that's what happens when you dare to tackle these days,
like to see Ilori sat in his stead next match see how he fares,

We definitely need Coutinho back asap, his awareness, little touches and thru balls will cause havoc to any defense, especially when SaS are making runs and decoy's,

come Jan one or two solid midfielders are essential, we cannot afford to go thru the whole season with our current choices, hope your reading this JWH,

another win another 3pts and sat 2nd, 4 wins 1 draw 1 defeat out if six is still a good start no matter how you dress it up

Well done Brendan & the lads, onwards and upwards

Nice to see we won our "must win" game and that Brendan survives another week. If you'd told me before the season started that we'd be six points ahead of the Mancs, three ahead of Man City and two ahead of Chelsea, sitting in second place in the league and people would be saying "we'd better win this one or else" I wouldn't have believed you. I really must wise up.

      Phew!

Great win away for home Lads to take us up to 2nd on the ladder.

We didn't play well but we got the job done and came away with a valuable 3 points.

MOTM was Kolo....what an acquisition he is turning out to be.  Fantstic seeing Luis back again and doing what he does best, putting the ball in the back of the net. Can't wait to have Coutinho back linking up with Luis and Daniel. Going to be awesome to watch.

Not our best passing game, but I thought that Lucas and Moses both played well in midfield. Hoping that Gerrard can get back his form from last season.

Thought Moses played really well and we lost a bit with our 'usual, its Sterling for Moses' sub we seem to make. Sturridge also did really well with his decision making to set up both Suarez goals. A good 3 points in a tricky game which playing against a team that has just sacked their manager usually is.

Had to have a little smile to myself yesterday. This week I had a pop at our crap corners, then we score from 1, had a pop at Gerrard's displays only for him to pop that pass to Danny for the 2nd goal. Who can I have a go at now?  :)

Vital 3 points with the others around us dropping points. Performance still not great but winning is the main thing.

We have got ourselves a beast in Toure hard to believe some questionned the deal! And Sturridge looking  asnip with his goals to game ratio. Were in a good place with lots to improve on. If we stay in there up to December I think top 4 will be the minimum well get

Interesting that a win gets a 14 page thread, but a loss gets 20 odd pages.

Massive 3 points all things considered with the points being dropped around us.

Must kick on from here though, no reason we can't continue picking up 3 points.

      Fair enough.
I tend to stay away from the match threads because of the constant negativity.
And that's just when we win ;)

F**k knows what happened to celebrating a win instead of "we played sh*te, but.."

Couldn't watch the match as I was travelling (enjoying the birthday present I got from my girlfriend - a weekend in Búzios, a small city with some wonderful beaches...), but very pleased with the result. 2nd in the league right now, just a couple points off Arsenal, mancs sitting at 12th - not bad at all. Crystal Palace next should be another win, let's keep this run going. Still lots to improve but it's comforting to be getting points even when the performances have not been top notch. If we see this season the kind of rise in performance levels that we saw in the 2nd half of the previous season, we should be in a much better position to compete for something meaningful, as opposed to when we had very little to gain in terms of league performance.

Think we've been sh*te for most of the season including yesterday but we continue to get results. Only a very good sign!

Kolo was terrific, Daniel and Luis showed signs and Mamadou was slightly less kamikaze which is good.
