Consecutive Penalties Record - My College Senior Side

It's gone mad at work for me (Sparsholt College) the past couple of days after our senior side (Andover Town FC) were involved in a penalty shootout last week which finished 15-14 with the only penno miss coming with the 30th kick. It turns the 29 consecutive spot kicks scored is an English record (just been confirmed by the FA) beating the previous best of 27. We lost :-(
We had the BBC here with a camera crew yesterday and then this morning the lad who missed the 30th kick was interviewed on Colin Murray's Talk Sport show! It even made the main BBC Sport landing page for a couple of hours yesterday and was sitting between videos of Roy Hodgson and Gary Lineker!

Saw this on the beeb mate, quality stuff! Poor lad who missed the 30th!

That's unlucky that is, great thing to be involved in but at the same time be hell for the player that ends up missing.

To be fair to the lad he scored his first with a well taken penny and the 2nd was pretty decent as well. It's our keeper who needs shooting! He should have saved a few of their pens. FairPlay to Colin Murray, talk sport are going to front up  £800 for a couple of new kits and are going to put their name on them! Top lad and a red as well, I can't understand why the been let him go, I quite liked his motd2 coverage, was better than Mark bloody Chapman.
