Not really looking beyond Liverpool's results at the moment. I think IF we can beat Everton and win the other "should win games", defeat at Spurs while not a happy thought, might not be a disaster. Once we hit January I think the table will really start to show who the runners and riders are for top 4..... hopefully we will still be leading the pack.

      Liverpool

      Everton (a) 3pts
      Hull C.   (a) 3pts
      Norwich (h) 3pts
      WHU.    (h) 3pts
      Spuds.  (a) 0pt
      Cardiff   (h) 3pts
      Total  15 + 23 = 38pts

Pointless doing all these point predictions, one game at a time, that's all we can do because anything could happen to us and any other team such as injuries to key players, drop unexpected points and not recover. IMO there is absolutely no point looking beyond our next game, just concentrate on that one and go from there. Also, above all else, it's demoralizing as f**k if you predict a win for us and we lose that game, at least it is for me.

But in the spirit of things, 30 points out of next 10 games ;)

Think Spurs will be an easier game than Everton away.

Also think the Arse look a weaker more unbalanced side with Wilshire playing. Hope he recovers from his injuries soon. Ha Ha. They will drop more points with him in their side, and I think Wenger is starting to believe it too, unfortunately.

So as predicted, Liverpool got a draw, Chelsea got a win as did Arsenal. Feel City will get the win tomorrow as will the scum. Not worried though.

So only 1 against the bitters, I expected 3. Still expect 15 from the next 5 as I think Spuds will lose confidence after getting mashed by Citeh today.
Seriously think we will win all the next 5, Draw against City and beat Norwich and Chavs.  Still be second in New Year, with decent centre mid on board.
      Happy Christmas.

thought we'd draw away to the bitters, but am confident we'll bounce back with a couple of wins.  Am starting to think the top 4 of Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea is one that'll stick.  Can't see Spuds breaking in or Southampton sustaining their form.

On paper, the table could shape up to look something like this come January

      42pts Arsenal
      41pts Chelsea
      40pts Manchester United
      39pts Manchester City
      38pts Liverpool
      35pts Spurs
      32pts Everton

I do however expect Chelsea, City, and United to drop silly points in those must win games.

Hoping over the weekend that we pick up the necessary 3pts and that the others lose out.

Hopefully Saints and Chelsea will draw so we can extend the lead over them both. Tough game for the Bitters this week too, Stoke will be no push over for them.

Actually, I'm more of the camp that likes to long out the midfield. But I guess that's a personal taste.

While the squad is so short in numbers (and quality) days like these are gonna see off any challenge for a top six placing in the league.
Days like these are going to ensure any vestige of quality abandons LFC to it's fate and goes in search of success.
Brendan knows this, we know this.
Any business adviser would recommend bolstering an asset when it is perceived to be performing below it's acknowledged strengths.

However it is interpreted the custodians of the asset that is LFC are not acquitting themselves satisfactorily, their management skills have been found wanting. The same custodians who acquired the company for a song could sell up now at a profit and walk away singing.
Promises and probationary periods have come and gone, sell on and go JWH.

      35pts Everton
      35pts Spurs

I'd take anything above 16 points as a reasonably good result (enough to keep good hopes of top 4 considering how good was our start).

Now I think we can achieve 22-25 (that's league challenge form) if SaS continue to perform, and with Couti back, etc... but wouldn't blame Brendan/the team if we don't.
I don't see us spending those 10 games unbeaten (I think at least one of Arse, Chelsea and City will beat us, or if not a small team will as usual create a surprise) considering our regular defensive issues, so I wouldn't believe in more untill it (hopefully) happens.

We are at 10 after 6 games we may still achieve 22, but I doubt it with Sturridge injured and probably Gerrard too.
My actual prediction is 17 (I think we can manage a draw and a win against Totenham and Chelsea, and win at home against Cardiff should be easy, but I don't see us coming close to victory against City to be frank), and Liverpool still in top 4 after Christmas.

I'm now swaying more to seeing how we are after 20 games and not so much the half way point of 19 games.

Hull at home on New Years Day is very much part of the festive 'congestion':

      15th Dec: Tottenham - A 16:00
      21th Dec: Cardiff - H 12:45
      26th Dec: Man City - A 17:30
      29th Dec: Chelsea - A 16:00
      1st Jan: Hull - H 15:00

Think its the FA Cup after that before Stoke away and then two home games against Villa and Everton before we go to West Brom.

If we have taken 8 -11 points by the time we have played Hull and come out of the Christmas congestion zone we will still be there or thereabouts and looking at the next four games thinking 9-12 points is well and truly possible.

Huge 5 games coming up. Exciting though.
