Did Sterling look tired to you? Cos he didn't to me, not remotely.

Doesn't matter, need to be careful with such a young player, still a long season ahead of us.

Good game that - bit hectic at times but overall a good performance, especially going forward.

All we need now is Sunderland to beat Spurs and it'll have been a very good day for us.
As long as Stevie's injury is nothing serious.

For the record, the spell when we lost control of the game for a few minutes did not follow Lucas replacing Gerrard. We actually were queuing up to score more for about 10 minutes after that sub. It was after Moses replaced Sterling, who along with Allen was our best player at that point.

I usually understand Brendans subs, but I really didn't get that one.
Anyway we got the win we deserved, so no harm done.

We lost control of the game after Skrtel's own goal. That came in the 66th minute.

Moses replaced Sterling in the 72nd minute.

Mancs lose, Chavs lose, Saints and Citeh drew, now just need Spurs to lose and Arsenal and Bitters to draw. Full advantage of the lot then!
Could not happen to a better bunch of basta*ds.

well we'll agree to differ on that one.
My main point though was that it was following that sub that we suddenly lost our fluency, not following the Lucas-Gerrard sub

Happy with that result, wish I had the 4-1 as a single (16-1) with William Hill, but I need Arsenal to win 2-1 to get a pay out.

Got very nervy after we conceded that poor goal, would've been nice to see Sterling who was very positive put away one of his chances.

Also Would've liked to have seen Henderson rested today, thought he was wasteful and we can afford not to have him against teams that don't hold the ball in midfield.

Thought Coutinho was very good, almost every move ran through him and well done to Joey Allen as well.

So did Suarez get 2 goals or what. It says that it was an own goal by o'brien but everyone on here is saying he scored 2.

I'd like to think that Rodgers has a better idea than you on this. I'm sure before the game even started he already was planning to substitute Flannagan and Sterling in the 2nd half. Neither of these young players have had any regular playing time this season untill this week when they suddenly play 3 games, it's an injury risk.

I think we simply lost our fluency after their lucky goal. Put some confidence into West Ham and shocked us a bit. We recovered later.

I really enjoyed watching that match, apart form a bit of a wobble after they got the own goal we were utterly dominant and the scoreline should have been much greater. I  love how we now have the ability of beating weaker teams, with the odd exception.  :D

Own goal my arse they were both his, a great header and a slightly lucky deflection, but well deserved for all the chances he created.

The 11 versus spurs picks itself now. We need to not lose and our bench will be poor. We ll miss Gerard's set pieces for sure

BBC and sky both say own goal, hopefully he gets it, striker should get benefit of the doubt.

BR has done many things right in this match, we committed enough bodies inside the box to force the ball over the line. Some may say it's luck but it has nothing to do with luck if we don;t commit enough bodies inside the box we ain;t gonna have the chance to force the ball over the line. Everone played a very physical game, we never got bullied all over the park, that's what I hope to see betwee now till the end of the season. besides that, everyone was eager to take a shot from outside and inside the box and we must continue to do that, we can only be sharper. Well done lads and BR.

Gotto thank agent Assaidi for scoring the winner against that loud mouth.

Another good result post the Hull match.

9 goals two matches .... doesn't matter how they come.

Keep grinding out the results and the other teams will drop points .... just what happened today .

It does mate, like the cherry on the cake that.

Cruel blow losing Stevie, doubt he'll make the Spurs game but does have 2 1/2 weeks to make it for the City game, hopefully there's a chance as to be without him for those pair of fixtures will be a huge ask.

I gave MOTM to Mignolet, I've always overlooked him. He simply kept us in the match with his world class save.

I voted for him. I thought he did very well on a difficult afternoon when he had two players on him all the time and little support especially in the first half. Two goals and an assist ain't bad.  He always looked dangerous, kept going when some strikers would have decided it just wasn't their day (Torres) and worked his balls off as usual.

I don't think anyone had a really "great" game, but as a team we worked hard for each other and played very well apart from the one poor spell after they scored. I thought it was a good test today, which we passed if not with flying colours with 4 goals. In recent previous seasons I think we may well have drawn or lost this one.

Good save from Migs, clumsy by Skyrtel, solid by Sahko, Allen did well, as did SG, Coutinho good in 1st half, quieter in second - but I gave Luis MOTM, again, cause he had a hand in 3 goals, led the line well, caused em a lot of problems, and most of all that 3rd goal came at an absolutely critical time when we had messed up with the OG and WH were looking like they might nick an unlikely equalizer. Bullet header, and we closed out the game comfortably.

Couldn't have asked for more following the Hull match. Two comprehensive results, and 2nd in table :)

Great result. Suarez should have been given the second goal, but it's been recorded as another own goal. Suarez will score more goals.

Worried about our increasing injury list though.

Watched the game in the pub, thought Mignolet pulled off one or two great saves, Luis is in great form, toss up between them both for Motm, Skrtel seems unlucky lately with another clumsy own goal.

You know what, it doesn't matter who the opposition is, it just feels good to win!

With Chelsea and The Scum losing, and City drawing, this has been a good day!

Hmmm I wonder can I get laid tonight to top it off  :D
