AFC Bournemouth vs Liverpool: January 25th at 12:45
      Jan 15, 2014 12:51:25 am
Bournemouth next for the mighty Reds in the FA Cup, won't be easy and they'll all be up for it looking for a premier league scalp. The way things are at the moment, I think we'll pick a team that's pretty much full strength; but having said that, I still think we'll have enough to go through fairly comfortably.

      Thoughts?

      Ja.

Good news for armchair fans.  Bad news for travelling fans.  12:45 kick off all the way down at Bournemouth and apparently the trains are a nightmare that day.  Good luck if you're travelling down there.

No doubt we'll find a spectacular way to make this the hardest game of our season. Just hope we come through it unlike Oldham last season.

Just as likely to be on as Liverpool still pull in viewers like very few other clubs and ITV can gouge advertisers.

4 hours 40 minutes of a drive. Tickets will be like rocking horse sh*te. A bigger ground than Oldham's though.

Anyone know anything about Bournemouth? And anyone on here making the trip down?

The tickets will sell out in Bournemouth itself, the majority are Liverpool supporters down on the Southcoast just like Brighton.

Will the date of this game impact the derby at the end of the month?  Both us and Everton have games the weekend of the 25th, and the derby is scheduled for Tuesday the 28th.  I doubt it will be rescheduled, but I figured I'd ask in case someone on here has more info....

This derby is shaping up to be one of the biggest games between us in recent years!!  Going to be a real treat watching SAS run them ragged :)

I'm a bit confused with two pre match threads going at once.

I'll have a think about this one once Villa are out of the way.

I'd play our strongest team, notwithstanding injuries and the fact we can't drop Mignolet.

      --------------------Mig----------------------

      Johnson------Skrtel-------Sakho (if fit)-------Flanno (if fit)

      --------Henderson--------Gerrard------------Allen

      Sterling------------Suarez----------------Sturridge

This would have been a good time to try Gerrard in the DM role and we would have got 3 points against villa,  I'd certainly have Coutinho Henderson Allen Sterling starting in midfield I would hope.  We can use Gerrard at half time if we ain't winning. This game is against championship opposition so we need a decent lineup, but I'd probably give Aspas a chance upfront and give Suarez a bit of a rest.

Considering we have the Bitters at home only three days later I most certainly wouldn't play our strongest team.

      I'd go with...

                                    Mig

      Kelly          Toure            Skrte        Cissokho

            Henderson     Alberto        Allen

      Moses                 Aspas               Coutinho

Bring Luis, Danny and Stevie on in the second half if we're struggling.

I wouldn't underestimate Bournemouth mate, regardless whether it is Bournemouth or not, they will be right up for this and at home aswell. We did the exact same thing away to Oldham and got humiliated.

if we have Alberto on we can't rely on him in CM without a DM in a 433. Our defence would be badly exposed. I don't see us permanently buying Moses... so it is a bit wasteful to give him experience.  If you wanted to play moses and Alberto we'd have to have either allen or Henderson on the bench.
