Carroll on Twitter retweeted Terry McDermott who said he'd buy him a pint on Sunday if he did the business against city. Sounds like he's up for it. Him and Nolan are going to do it for us I can just feel it.

Honestly think we could have had a lot worse team facing city on Sunday. Think they've got as much chance as anyone to get a result.

Could have been a Villa double header, what a shower of sh*t team that is, did they even try to win yesterday??? I reckon Lambert must be on borrowed time at Villa

Agree that Carroll and Nolan will be bang up for it with both having strong Liverpool links, just have to hope the rest of them are.

Nolan would have grown up dreaming of scoring the goal to win Liverpool the title.

      Now is his chance...

      Come on lads!!!

I live in hope that two lads who were born of working class stock would want to stick it to the richness of city's owners.

Clinging to any hope me like.

If Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll combine and beat them I will personally get them slaughtered in any Liverpool, Newcastle or even London boozer they like.

F**k it they can even bring Downing with them.

F**k it, I would even do unspeakable things with Karen Brady being video'd by David Gold if Carroll won the Battle of the pony-tails and delivered us the title

What I'm kind of glad to see is everyone coming out saying how they think Man City have won now, like how Wenger has congratulated them today on winning it, and how it will take a miracle for them not to win... not showing a lot of respect to West Ham, I hope they come out fighting and batter them.

Let's hope the funding will be in place to make sure LFC can build on the success of this season mate, if that doesn't happen the manager and the team's efforts will be entirely wasted.
I don't see any specific reason why this cannot happen. At the end of the day it's going to be mostly the club's money rather than FSG's, that's why i believe the stake will be higher the new season and more careleful moves are required, cause like you said the manager and the team's efforts can be wasted but this might as well go for the funding too if not well spent.

I agree with you that BR has the skill to choose players who can make the difference but this time he isn't building up a new squad or having to pass his football philosophy onto a mainly young team to go for a place in the first 4 in the domestic league. It's another thing having to make a strong side to compete big European clubs while having  midweek duties at the same time almost every week.

That's why i have to believe that this is going to be a new test for the manager.
The best part of the money though has to be invested in structuring a strong solid defense(in center and right back the team hurts) coach included.

      Question.

If there was a 2v2 fight between Skrtel & Sakho vs Carroll & Nolan, who's side would you want to be on?

      I cannot wait til Sunday!!
I'm not sure if I am clutching at straws hoping West Ham
can nick it, or if it is just wishful
thinking- but I can't take it anymore,

Just read a couple of pages, interesting indeed. A few too many of them would happily sacrifice a win to stop us winning the title.

Won't matter, I guarantee that Andy, Nolan and Stewie will be up for an upset. Not worried, think West Ham is going to do us a solid on this one. Title is within our grasp, BELIEVE!
