I think this is a game we need Stevie for mate. West Ham are a physical side and I'd be happier with Gerrard than without for this one.

Makes no difference what that gobs***e fat Sam does, they score two we score 4 simples, we'll find a way thru that bus,

Could score a hat flu but I'd quite happily settle for a 0-1,

3 points are the most important thing here, just win !

7 things that will happen in this match:

Nolan will be a pain in the arse all match.
The real madrid west ham manager will play a fully defensive game and hoof the ball up top.
west ham players will fall like tinkerbelle in our final third.
Our central defenders will end up with elbowed faces/kicked bollocks/blood on them.
Downing will do something he's never done before and get at least 50% of his crosses into the box.
Carrolls forehead will be like a smacked arse at the final whistle.

Last but not least, Liverpool will score three goals and win.  :P  :aaliverpool2xt1:

Forgot we are top of the table.

3 points from this to stay top would do very nicely! Hopefully Southampton can do a job against City too.

I would go back to the 4-3-1-2 for this, Coutinho in the 10, either Allen or Lucas in the midfield with Gerrard and Henderson. Coutinho hopefully thread in some balls to create chances and late on hopefully Sterling can come on against their tired legs.
Win at all costs like, another cup final, 1-0 will do.
I am a bit worried about their physical nature, especially with big AC, we tend to struggle with these big strikers but hopefully we can keep it tight.
I think it'll be 3-1. Suarez and 2 for Sturridge.

The one way we don't want to play against teams like West Ham and Crystal Palace is narrow. They've struggled against teams that have played wide against them because their full backs are pretty sh*t. Their best players are usually the ones in the middle of the park:- Collins, Diame (albeit has played out wide for the previous handful of games), Nolan, Carroll. Their full backs are piss poor and that's their weakness. Pointless playing to their strengths. Go 4-3-3 and get them playing how we want them to.

Sunderland were doing shocking until they brought on Johnson who attacked their left back, United used Young, Stoke used Odemwingie out wide to get the better of them and Everton used the likes of Baines, Coleman, Deulofeu and Pienaar to beat them. For the past 3-4 games West Ham have been playing Diame on one of the wings and Downing on the other. Diame seems like somebody who will get forward but then takes a while to get back so that can be taken advantage of and we can then put 2-on-1 on McCartney every time.

Go out full force, then take Stevie off for Lucas after 2 goals and keep pressing. No f*cking about, get the job done.

loved this from Rodgers in his presser: "the nature of our game is to deal with the ball. there's nerves in the team when you don't have the ball. it's easy to coach a team to sit back, all in one half of the field, and to not play with the ball. the hard thing (initially) was to keep encouraging players when they make a mistake to let it go, to keep playing, get on the ball as we play as a team." he has taught the players well and put a method in place that can be with us for a long time.

In all honesty I kind of wish we kept Downing, he wouldn't get in our first team, what with Sterling's form, but he could do a job coming off the bench -

      I dont.

Couldnt wait to see him leave. Perennial under performer didn't warrant the Red shirt of Liverpool.
      Useless.

Do what off the bench exactly? Put 86 million crosses into the box and watch every one of them go for a throw in? The guy was garbage and still is. Same goes for Carroll. 1 goal in 9 games this season (6 of those he started). Embarrassing.

Don't know if the bookies know something we don't but Aspas is 3rd favourite to be 1st goal scorer tomorrow. Same odds as Stevie G a point lower than Coutinho or Sterling and 2 lower than Carroll

             Hendo.     Gerrard

Fat Sam bus company will be parked double decked with a couple of conductors hoofing it upfield in the hope of a free ticket,
But we have more than enough to make a break thru or 2 and give them a coaching lesson on how to play football with compliments from BR.

1-3 for the champions elect !

It's the same every week. Suarez was favourite to score in our first 5 opening games of the season even when he was suspended.

Got to agree. Getting three points here is the most immediate concern. Drop points and it matters little whether Stevie is banned.

Well I for one am a little worried. Need to earn the right to play in this one. Skrtel and Agger will be under constant bombardment, and I'm also not sure if this is a game for Coutinho, nor Joe Allen for that matter actually.

      Could see Lucas back in.

Agreed Walton, if he gets a yellow so be it, we coped without Stevie earlier this season, we will do again if we need to, I think he is safe after Tomorrow anyhoo so no point leaving him out for just 90+ mins.
