Alves is also quoted as saying post-match: "I don't know who threw the banana but I want to thank him. It gave me the energy to put two more crosses in for our goals." after they came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Villareal.

Probably easy for me to say but I think this kind of reaction is more of what's needed, usually when you don't give a bully the satisfaction of the response they are looking for they lose interest.
