If Garcia's goal hadnt crossed the line, the ref would have sent off Cech for bringing down Baros and a penalty given. We would have gone on to win comfortably, Cudicini's hardly a world class keeper.
I've been saying this to all Chelsea fans who think they were robbed back in 2005 and this story of the BBC Sport website supports it
Lubos Michel, who ruled Luis Garcia's effort had crossed the line when Liverpool knocked Chelsea out of the Champions League before winning it in 2005, will referee the game in Moscow. He has since said of the Jose Mourinho-dubbed 'ghost goal': "If my assistant referee had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off keeper Petr Cech."
