Over the last few years I've put all my money into my next year of college and working in america last summer. Finally done with college, and have too many commitments this year to go back to america at the moment so getting myself a car. Funds are low and I'll be getting a credit union loan to help me with this.
The car is probably going to be the cheapest part to be honest. I'm still on a provisional licence as a new rule came in that says I have to do 12 driving lessons with an approved driving instructor and record them in a log book before I can do my test! SO insurance is going to be through the roof. My mate is on a provisional too and his policy is 3,000 euro a year with aviva for a 1.6 Civic!
So I am trying to balance out all my costs and get a car that has a small enough engine to keep the tax and insurance down.
So I've narrowed it down to a Mitsubishi Colt or a Toyota Starlet Glanza V. Anyone have any experience with either?
It's not exactly the Ferrari or Lamborghini debate but it's a first car so I'm not too worried.
Also does anyone have any other recommendations for a car. My sister started off with a Fiat Punto that was just a mechanical disaster! I live in the country so the roads aren't great at all.
