A win tonight to at least, push City all the way in the title race. Expect Suarez to be in top form after been voted by the PFA as footballer of the year.

Brendan just said Cou was in to start but picked up a slight knock... that explains it but it's painful to hear.

Interesting to hear him say he'd take a 1-0 right now too.

Was surprised Phil was on the bench but he has a knock apparently.

Think it's the right answer to the question. It's a bit disrespectful to say anything else.

I'll go record now and say I'd have started Coutinho and its the wrong decision from Rodgers, then if we win I'll come back later and delete my post so Hollywood Balls can't dig up my post history :D

Yup. It's unrealistic that we win both of our next games by 7 goals. We need to be realistic here. If we are to beat City to the title, then we'll have to rely on them slipping up. A win would keep us in it till the last day of the season

Agree with the boss's team selection for this one.
Got to keep a very tight middle and allow our forwards to just go for it.
Interesting to see if Stevie is allowed to go forward more and have Lucas sit on occasion.
      Concerned about the palace flanks.
      They are quick and fearless.
This is going to be a F***ing tough and tight one.
      Keep the faith boys.

Threw a couple of quid on 8-1 to us.  Because I'm stupid like that.

Would take a 1-0 though.  If we're going to finish runners up we may as well make City have to beat us on goal difference.

Guys Brendan has said that Coutinho has taken a knock and it's the type of injury that they can't risk. He was penciled in to start, we all picked up on it on the team selection and now it's been settled.

      Oh ok.

Can you please give me an argument in favor of starting Lucas?

A player who has been poor game after game after game, a player who, even when fit, is not what is required when we need to score bags of goals tonight?
