I'll go record now and say I'd have started Coutinho and its the wrong decision from Rodgers, then if we win I'll come back later and delete my post so Hollywood Balls can't dig up my post history

LFC saying he has got a slight injury.

Looking past Agger and Coutinho though, and at the other 5 people on our bench, you've got to say it's a F***ing miracle where we are in the league.  Depth in our squad is shockingly poor.

Guys Brendan has said that Coutinho has taken a knock and it's the type of injury that they can't risk. He was penciled in to start, we all picked up on it on the team selection and now it's been settled.

He also mentioned him coming on late to play a part....kind of odd. Wonder if it's just smokescreen?

That's the wonders of not playing Europa league football.. And of course having a great team spirit

      Oh ok.

Can you please give me an argument in favor of starting Lucas?

A player who has been poor game after game after game, a player who, even when fit, is not what is required when we need to score bags of goals tonight?

      @LFC
Brendan Rodgers has confirmed @Phil_Coutinho has a slight injury which is why he doesn't start at Crystal Palace this evening #LFC

Thank god Clint is back, no offence to who did it last time, it just didn't feel right.

Interesting to see Brendan keep faith with Lucas and drop Coutinho to the bench, not sure about that choice myself if I'm honest. What an absolute massive game.

Would be interesting to see what score people would take?

1-0 and hope for a favour elsewhere?
2-0 really doesn't do much for the goal difference.
3-0 I think actually puts us in there with the slimmest of possibilities in terms of goal difference.
4-0 I'd say at this point we make City start to think about it and create doubts slightly in their minds.

4-0 is the lowest I'd take off you right now but with the same token I'd be delighted with 4-0 too. Anything above that and I really will start to dream about a massive final day.

Luis and Studge are really due a couple each, Brendan will have them absolutely fired up and a goal in the first 10 minutes for us would give us an enormous boost.

      COME ON REDMEN!!!

I posted the line up in the pre  match thread last time , and was picked as the  live-thread starter, don't worry, I banned myself in posting the line-up for life after that game
its good to see clint doing it again

       COME ON REDS
Lets go for it  A win with many goals (its going to be hard against a pulis team), but we can do it

From what I can see on the player thread you're the only one who thinks he's a joke! bags of goals can't guarantee a title victory!

      Yeh Just seen JD.

We've been lucky with injuries really, imagine if Suarez and Sturridge had been out together for any length of time, we'd have been relying on Moses and Aspas for goals.

      Two things

      1) Good to see Sturridge back.  Assuming it is a fully fit Sturridge.
      2) Think Lucas can consider himself very lucky to be starting ahead of Coutinho.  Needs to put a game in for us.

      This.

He's right though. I also was surprised to see him on the lineup.  He offers little defensively. His playmaking is mediocre and as a team we do better without him than with him. I'd rather play Coutinho.

How about you and Fed go out on a date together...anywhere, just not here. Neither of your atittudes are wanted here. If you can't get behind the team completely then don't bother posting in here. Go into their player threads and fondle yourselves there while bloviating about how you don't rate the player. Its getting 'effing old.

I'd take it all day long, this talking of goal difference is a bit far fetched for me. Just get the win and take it to Sunday
