A team ruling out a sale often leads to said player being sold. Probably just a way of trying to get more money.

Yep especially when Bayern know we have 75 mill sitting in the short term account! Am now more optimistic about this going through than I was before.

In the WC this fella was twice as good as the much lauded Hazard (who looked slow and useless), so that puts it into perspective.

It puts it into perspective that a player's quality shouldn't be judged on a World Cup? Give me Hazard over Shaqiri any day of the week.

Would Hazard get into the Bayern first XI? We must remember how much stronger a team they are than Chelsea. Mario Gotze and Thiago Alcantara on the bench?!! It's not just Shaqiri - they have insane talent.

Having or not having a good word cup means very little to be honest. Hazard is top quality.

Didn't Mourheen have a downer on him at the the end of the season?

      Possibly.

Still doesn't hide the fact he was one of the best players in the league last season.

I like Shaqiri, but I don't think he is a priority right now. We have Sterling, Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana, Borini, and even Suso who can play in the central and wide attacking midfield roles.  Unless one/both of Borini and/or Suso are sold, then I can't see this one moving forward.

Borini is not LFC quality, Suso  should of progressed more than he has IMO and I think now is the time to let him go.

See it like this, the front-3 in a 4-3-3

      Markovic/Sterling   -   Sturridge/Lambert   -   ??/Borini

IMO, I would sell Borini , use the cash we're saving on Moreno & get Shaqiri, AND THEN go for that elite striker, whoever that is

He's only 20 years old and coming off a very good season in Spain!!  Did you watch him play at all?  I caught a few of his games for Almeria and I think he looks like he has the quality to make it at the very top.

He's not been at the club for a year and in that year he performed very well at Almeria! Why is it now the time to let him go?

Hendo is different and was played out of position when he first came as an out and out wide player, Suso I hoped would come good I watched a few ressie games and he looked good, that is until you put him at the side of Sterling, Lbe and I think he may not progress ant further. Listening to Whelan in the studio and he says he always tries a trick when nooner around him. Anyway he may surprise me when I watch him tonight.

Hendo still isn't LFC material; at least not an LFC that wants to be amongst Europe's elite. His work rate is phenomenal but his passing is questionable at best and his goal threat is none existent. We need to combine all three if we're to push on.
