Great little player but I'd prefer Sanchez. Either would be great though!

Boss being linked to players like this

Admittedly, we were linked to players of the same standard last season:

      Mktarayan
      Costa
      Willian

What did we end up with? Sorry to those who think I'm being a negative c**t, but it's hard not to be when you've witnessed your club coming close to making so many big signings only to miss out last minute. It has been a common trend with the exception of Mascherano, Torres, and Suarez.

And to note, if Lallana is our 'marquee' signing then I will be quite disappointed. Not disputing his talent whatsoever, but a club that wants to go places really ought to aim higher.

      Higher like Daniel Sturridge perhaps?

As someone said a while ago, Reprobate I think, we always got linked to players like this.

Hopefully this summer we'll sign a couple mate.

Looking at Barcelona players i think puts us in the right direction, since the game of these players fits well BR's style of football. Even more attacking football next season is imminent. Pedro, Sanchez plus Mascherano can we have all three of them in the same package or it is a lot i am asking for?

Was reading the Barcelona forum last night. Most Barca fans want rid of Pedro and really do not rate him. The majority also think Sanchez should possibly go as he's too similar to Messi and Nectar but at the same time they really rate the guy.

Heard numerous comments about how Pedro is a player who needs time and space and is ineffective when the going gets tough!

I'm not sure, his goalscoring record for Spain and Barcelona especially in big games, suggest otherwise.

There is your first problem. Getting your scouting report from a forum where the player is leaving. Everyone we have been linked to sell...some of us think they are sh*t and others believe those players are quality. Do not look too much into it.

Coutinho was the same, people at Inter did not rate him. Sturridge was a split because certain Chelsea fans thought he was gonna be great and others were glad to rid.

First Pedro, now Sanchez. Might as well just grab Messi and Neymar as well while we're at it!

That's pretty much the end of that then, if our previous spending is anything to go by !    :f_whistle:

We should be looking to sign the player who fits into Rodgers plans...

      If that is a £3m or a £30m player it shouldn't matter.

If the boss thinks he is the player we need to push on we should be doing all we can to get the lad... Regardless of price.

If he's available, we should bid £35M for him.

We should bid 35m for a player that's available for 22m? I thought Ayre was bad at negotiating.

Heard Chelsea no longer in for him. Strange but might open the door for us. Although if they get a new president this weekend all that might change and he'll stay there

We've got no chance then, we won't move that quickly to sign him. Barca are crazy if they're thinking of selling him.
