Sturridge, Lambert and now Remy. That's 48 Prem goals last season alone, chuck in another 15 pluser and that's a very potent quartet  :)

Honestly wouldn't surprise me to see Raheem hit that figure.

Maybe total, think if we restrict it to Prem alone then 15 might be pushing it a little for this year. I agree though that I think we'll see a lot more goals from Raheem now that Luis has gone and of course him being a year more experienced/stronger/wiser/blah blah.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Sturridge and Remy combine. There's definitely goals there with the supply coming there way.  Exciting times ahead.

Judging by some of the stuff I've seen on Twitter and facebook, everyone's had the afternoon off to do a bit of sightseeing round Boston, that's why it'll get completed tomorrow.

Just looking at some of the transfers being done this summer and think what a fooking bargain were getting here

8.5 million for an international striker who hits a goal every 2 games. McCormack going for 11 million Livermore 8 million and Ulloa going from Brighton to Leicester for 8 million. Ye cant but be pleased with this bit of business

I'm with Brian on this one, I am genuinely excited about this signing. The lad has been quality at QPR and Newcastle with average players supporting him, I cannot wait to see him with Gerrard, Coutinho,Can, Lallana and Henderson supplying him, and Sturridge, Sterling, and Lambert supporting him.

And with the prices being paid for players this year, £8.5 m is a bargain in comparison.

Defenders will sh*te themselves at the pace alone and that's not even considering Sterling and Markovic joining in!!

got a good feeling about this lad.Sometimes you have to find the right place for your talent to shine you just need the right place at the right time.

Exactly. I think this will be similar to Sturridge in its outcome.

Agree with all of the above.
8.5 for him is a total win win in my mind.

Interesting that the official website of the French Footbal Federation (equivalent to the FA in England) shows Remy as a Liverpool footballer. Wouldn't this would mean that they have received the official paperwork from Liverpool...?

Looks like he wasn't one of our targets but more of an opportunistic buy to me, I am not over excited as I think he is a poor man's Bellamy but hope he fits in and scores some important goals.

      I think he'll surprise you.

A poor man's Bellamy? One that scored more goals last season than Bellamy ever managed in a single Premier League season you mean? What a ridiculous comparison!

Agreed it was an opportunistic buy. But the reason it was an opportunity is because he is rather good. 14 goals in 24 starts for a poor Newcastle side is pretty decent. And 8.5 mil is a steal.
Also can anyone confirm whether the rumour of him taking a 20k pay cut is true? I've read that he is getting an 80k contract with us and knowing QPR, it wouldn't surprise me if he were on 100k beforehand.

A poor man's Thierry Henry maybe but a poor man's Bellamy? You can't be serious mate. As much as I love Bellers Loic is a much more natural and clinical finisher than Craig ever was. A player with a 1/2 record in the Premier League at £8.5M I can certainly see why people are excited with this signing.

Funny you mention Henry as I was thinking that to the other the day watching some of his play. He has a hell of a lot of similarities. Now im not saying hes going to be anywhere near that level but he has all the talent to have a huge impact for us

I think he will as well and said the other day I think he may even push Danny all the way for our top scorer.

I don't get that at all. How can he be a poor mans Bellamy when he scored more goals in a PL season than Bellers ever did?
