Were QPR trying to pass off a crocked player hoping we didn't notice?

I did think it was a bit odd how readily and publicly Redknapp told everyone that he had a very low buyout fee...

Does seem very odd this how can you pass medicals for QPR and Newcastle but not for us ??????medicals are medicals surely they don't differ ? So how come previous medicals didn't pick anything up? Weird .

Marseille picked up the heart issue. Either that has got worse, we have higher medical standards, or this is something new.

Wow, only just heard about this, what a pity, better to find out now than later.
So this surely means we put in an improved bid for Bony, I thought we may have actually been working on Bony as well..
Maybe Remy was the smokescreen to keep Arsenal and co away from negotiations with Bony, who seemed the first choice.

As somebody mentioned Asa Hartford is a case in point.
There have been footballers with no previous heart issues collapsing while playing yet Hartford had a successful career after being diagnosed as ''at risk''.
There are obviously anomalies and there are no hard and fast parameters but if an individual has been playing for x number of years at the highest level, there is really little reason to stop him continuing if there are no danger signs.

if its a matter of insurance how have his previous clubs managed?. probably better to let this one go now as we are not going to get the full details from the club as I its a private matter between them and Loic. Shame but lets move on.

Nobody want's to see another Muamba case and I don't think it'll go down well either due to LFC's association with the Oliver King SADS petition.

Time for Brendan to spend BIG afterall.

Because that's a problem he's always had!! People too busy presuming it was his heart. Shouldn't listen to every report then, should you?

His agents are claiming it's because we couldn't sell Borini.

      Claim/counter-claim.

Plenty to talk about with this yet. If you've heard enough just stay the F**k out. Simple.

Apparently his people are blaming it on the fact that Borini won't leave. I doubt this though and would be very surprised if it wasn't his people deflecting away from his health.

Liverpool pull out of the deal to sign Remy after it was revealed he wasn't a Southampton player!

Real shame to hear this be fall through as it looked a very good piece of business for a talented player who was versatile enough to play as either a 9 or on the left of a three. A real pain in the arse for the manager because I imagine he thought he was all set up front with Sturridge, Lambert and Remy. Back to the drawing board I guess.

I'm sure there are plenty of other talented options out there.

I would imagine it is WAHS, his people will be losing out on their own big pay day and will be working very hard on getting the attention from another club.

I am disappointed, and I feel for the lad. But if it is enough of a concern for us to say no then in the end it is the right decision. In a moral sense and in a football/business sense.

Back to the drawing board now. We need to keep calm and not rush in for a player for the sake of it (Carroll). We have time and we have the funds, and I would be very surprised if Brendan doesn't have a book full of potential targets!
