Seeing as both full back positions were our greatest areas for concern last season, the imminent arrival of Moreno to cover the left flank I wonder what the consensus is for the right flank.
Do we keep Johnson with Flanno as cover; do we play Flanno with Johnson as cover or should we dispose with Johnson altogether and buy someone else?
Recent rumours have us linked with hijacking Arsenal target Serge Aurier of Toulouse.
I actually think that at £9.8M this could be a savvy bit of business considering we're also being linked with Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne who is being touted circa £15M.
Serge Aurier has long been a target for London club Arsenal, but now talks have stopped and Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in the defender.
Arsenal have been dealt a potential blow in the race for Toulouse FC defender Serge Aurier last night.
While speaking to national radio station RMC Sport, Aurier’s agent announced that there was no agreement with Arsenal for the 21-year-old, he admitted that there had been talks in the past, but talks were not currently ongoing.
To makes things worse, he revealed that they were in talks with another Premier League club, with Liverpool rumoured to be that second club.
It looks like Premier League clubs will now battle for Aurier’s signature, and it would be a huge coup for Liverpool if they could steal in and secure a deal for the defender and would be a signal of intent of their intentions this summer.
Aurier would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool, the right-back enjoyed a sensational season in Ligue 1, contributing six goals and six assists while putting in impressive defensive performances for Le Téfécé.
His attributes make him ready-made for the Premier League, he is quick and strong, can play anywhere along the back-line and can even be pushed forward into the attack.
Aurier would battle with Glen Johnson for the right-back spot, but Johnson is not known for his defensive abilities, this is where Aurier would be an improvement, but without compromising on the attacking intentions.
It would cost around €12 million to prise the highly-rated youngster from France, but there is little doubt he is worth every penny. He was named one of the 50 best young players in France by French Football Weekly for the third year in a row, he also won their award for being the best young player in France.

Aurier is a self-confessed Arsenal fan, and the London club would remain the favourites if they were to begin talks again. However, with the talks on hold, there is a chance that Liverpool could steal in and complete a deal for the defender if they were genuinely interested.
The right-back is set to start for the Ivory Coast in this summer’s World Cup, it would be smart for both clubs if they worked to get a deal done before he bursts onto the scene while in Brazil.
