Is he at CB or RB?
The only central defenders in that lineup are Howedes and Boateng, but Howedes has been playing at right back.
In fact, Kimmich has also played as CB before, but he's been on the right side of midfield during the Euros, I don't think Low would change him of position so drastically like that.

It's probably something like this:

Neuer / Howedes, Can, Boateng, Hector / Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Kimmich, Ozil, Draxler / Muller

But it could be Can at RB with Howedes at CB, or even Can in midfield with Kimmich at CB or RB (more unlikely). BBC has Can in midfield and Kimmich as right back:

I attempted to include in my post what position Can could play in but I gave up when I realised he could be played absolutely anywhere and so could half the team

I think Kimmich is too similar ish to Kroos (- the long range passes), so I'm hoping it will be Kroos and Can midfield.

We need a serious upgrade in the middle of the park, none of them (including Can are up to it). Too many steady Eddie 7 out of tenners and no one with the balls, ability and talent to grab hold of a game on a regular basis.

Reported now that Emre injured his foot in training with Germany.

If he couldn't play vs. Spurs on Saturday, what is he doing going to Germany training camp?

Unless it's just a case of checking in and confirming he has the same injury, I don't understand this at all.

Yeah, that's the way I'm thinking mate, that Can has just had to report and get his injury checked out. Hopefully not a new injury.   

With results the way they are and if they continue, he is going to have to wait his turn to line up at the start.

I think he was our weak link in the middle of the park. He's been on the sideline for a long time, so I'm going to be patient with him, but Gini's slickness and finesse was surely missed today.

I personally don't think Hendo and Can works. Our passing becomes too negative and sloppy in the middle as both are not natural ball playing midfielders.
