What did he do wrong?

I actually didn't think Can was that bad tonight. He's a industrial player that thrives when fighting for the middle rather than a footballer than likes to play ball. Likes of him, Wijnaldum, Milner and Hendo are just not up to scratch when we have the brunt of possession, but i don't see that as the fault of the player. FFS , it's like asking the likes of Hamann or Masch to play a DLPM role.

Yup, I thought he was our best midfielder last night and was let down by Ox and mr.anonymous

Last week summed Emre Can up perfectly. Brilliant or awful, rarely anything in between.

So slow with everything he did last night, I mean he was so poor last night that Van Dijk and Matip just stopped passing him the ball and started moving up themselves (which was actually more effective).

The odd powerhouse performance against a top team won't change my mind - we ain't going to miss him one bit if he fucks off to Juventus in the summer.

I think van Dijk would have been a better DM (if deployed there) than Emre Can is.

It is a bit worrying that in the whole game, against bottom of the league Swansea, our 2 best chances came from a Van Dijk cross to Firmino and a chipped through ball to Salah.

I like the lad but is there a more inconsistent player in the squad?

Probably best if he leaves for Juve.
