When you decide to leave your current employer as Can has done then some diminishing of commitment is usual and no matter what he says you cannot go into a CL final knowing your off to pastures new and its entirely your own choice.
He has had all season to commit his future to Liverpool but he has clearly never wanted to be here next year. His reasons are his own but I wouldn't want someone sitting next to me in the most important game of my career knowing he will be off like a shot come the final whistle.
Except Can has shown plenty of commitment on the pitch all season. Are you saying he's going to start easing off in a European Cup final? Do you think the guy isn't bothered about winning one for himself, never mind for the club?
I think Jürgen might prefer to start the other 3 CM's, given they will be here next season and Can probably won't. Which makes sense. But Can will be dying to play, like any self-respecting player, and there is no way he is going to suddenly start putting his feet up in that match, of all matches.
