Genuine question: why are our english players so injury-prone?
Sturridge, Hendo, Clyne, Llalana, Ings.
The list goes on.

Just a coincidence, it's also quite often Can and Lovren have some sort of knock too. Quite often seems to be a an issue with Klavan and Matip as well. It probably does have something to do with the way we play and the amount of running.

If Lallana is going to be out a lot injured, then our reliance on Ox as the replacement for Coutinho is likely to cost us. He is a bit of a downgrade as it is, but that might not be too significant if we still have the the rest of the front 4. But just purely in terms of numbers in the attacking positions we will come up short if one of those 4 is consistently unavailable.

Even 1 more injury would have us needing to play Ings, Solanke or Woodburn. 2 more injuries and it is 2 of them and those players are almost certainly not ready to cope with that ( even assuming they are fundamentally good enough).

With Sturridge moving on we need someone else to keep the medics busy!

You are correct I believe same thing happen to Wilshere last season for Arsenal.

That is unacceptable irrespective if it was U23 or Champions League. It was a not a grave foul, just challenged for the ball. There are information that he was being targeted with other tackles and he lost his head at that moment, nonetheless it is unacceptable.

The only positive is that he will not be suspended for the 1st team football.

Yes and No - he’s so far off first team fitness it’s unreal.

He looked like a grandad last night - good touch but the kids from Spurs just ran over / around him and he couldn’t cope.

It's why Klopp loves Ings, his commitment to cause is without question, Danny has had far more injury problems than Adam but the difference is Danny knuckling down & getting on with it..

That is great if all you (LFC) bought him for was his pressing, He me be tinkle toes but too often has no end product, his passes too often goes astray, holds the ball so long that he runs into a wall of players... May on occasion look good when things comes together but too often they do not, Mediocre trier at best. As for "one of our most technically gifted players" I can not attest to that has he really does anything with the ball beside playing in to areas were there are no team mates or over hitting the pass... Definitely sell
