Stevie has just followed him on Instagram whilst the LFC Italian language Twitter account has been rolled out.

      This is done.

Reports saying that Arsenal rejected him twice. Don't believe that for a second.

EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger SNUBBED Mario Balotelli twice before Liverpool deal

ARSENE WENGER twice rejected the chance to sign Mario Balotelli before the Italian striker's £16 million move to Liverpool was in place.

By Paul Hetherington & Steve Millar / Published 24th August 2014

The Arsenal boss ruled out a deal during the World Cup, following talks with Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola, when the former Manchester City striker wouldn't budge on a wage demand of £160k-a-week.

And when Balotelli, 24, dropped his pay target to £90k, Puma - Arsenal's kit suppliers - were prepared to help the Gunners with the deal.

They would then have used Balotelli as a poster boy, but once again Wenger wasn't interested.

City also had first refusal on Balotelli as a buy-back option after selling him to AC Milan for £18 million.

But once again, they had no interest in re-signing the controversial striker.

If his move to Anfield goes through, Milan will have to continue to pay City £4.5 million a year to settle the original deal, which will see the Italian club make a loss on Balotelli.

Yeah I heard Milan offered him to Wenger twice. Remember Ballo and Fanny posing in the Arsenal store? His agent, however, says it's been ongoing with LFC for 3 months and we were the only English club that he would go to.

probably the people who set up the free Suarez petition like he was some kind of slave because we wouldn't sell to Arsenal.

just like when Coutinho and Lucas followed Willian.... I'm not liking how long this is taking to be honest.  It has a sort of Remy feel to it.

      Ta lads.

But na, he fu**ed them off. Fanny liked the sound of the burger and a pint deal in the William Gladstone more than the London prices.

      From Twitter.

      To the tune of Macarena:

One Ballo, two Ballo, three Ballotelli,

He pulls up his shirt when he score on the telly,

'Why always me' written right across his belly,

      Ayyyyy Balotelli.

I'm not arsed either way, if he was turned down three times (really?) by the arse or we were his first choice, not arsed. All I'm arsed about is he starts off and remains fully focused on all things LFC.

I think it's a done deal now mate. Balotelli has flown back from Italy and Ayre has turned up at Melwood now. Just need some fat bird to sing now.

The same Wenger who turned his nose up at resigning Fabregas then watched his side get outplayed by the bitters for 75 mins at the weekend?

Wonder what the people think who don't like Rodgers losing out on his first target (Remy) think of the Bibotelli transfer.

Whatever the ins and outs of that (and I've no problem in passing if we're not happy on a medical) in a purely footballing sense this has to be an upgrade...at least in my book.

Blessing in disguise. Remy is decent regardless or health concerns but will never be close to world class.

Super Mario on the other hand.

I suppose it depends on whether you think a heart attack or mental problems are the more likely.

I wanted Remy, I think Balotelli is without doubt the better player.

I'd prefer both if I'm being greedy Beer but on this occasion I think we've ended up with the better player.

Didn't the Remy deal break down very soon after the Milan match and did the 'categorical' statement that Ballotelli is not coming here come inbetween the Milan game and the failed Remy medical?

I love a good conspiracy theory so did the possibility of Balotelli arise unexpectedly, or the price plummet unexpectedly, around that time with Rodgers preferring Mario and quite brutally pulling the plug on Remy when Balotelli became a goer?
