I agree mate, he got a lot of stick right off the bat because I think everyone expected him to hit the ground running. Glad to see he's starting to shine a little more now.
Which is odd considering he had an injury, and just like Can was behind in terms of fitness because of it.
On top of that, he was always going to take time to settle.
I'm not expecting to see the best of him for a while yet, but in a couple of years, if his development continues, I think he'll be world class.
If we can hold onto him until he's at least 26 (assuming development again) he'll be a player who can really make a difference.
