I do mate you and everyone else seem to share the same view of him. I just cant believe hes as bad as being made out

Thought this was a pretty long shot, but Sunday Times today seemed to say he was one of 2 or 3 new FB options being seriously considered.

I am surprised that we are pushing for Bertrand when Rojo is available. Apparently, Southampton is close to picking him up for 10M. Surely, if we were interested he would chose us instead. How do you guys rate Rojo? Do you agree that he would be a better option than Bertrand?

I'd go as far as to say Rojo is my favorite left back in the world right now
and get this for irony;
 my least favourite LB from the footage (or lack of any good footage of him in existence) is Ryan bloody Bertrand so I'm worried about this link.

Bertrand is just not good enough, he was below average last season with his loan spell at Villa. We need Ricardo Rodriguez(my 1st pick) or Daley Blind or Marcel Schmelzer or Marcos Rojo(even though he mainly plays CB) or Alberto Moreno or anyone who isn't Bertrand. I know BR has a history with the kid but he just doesn't cut it for me. He isn't good enough for Chelsea so why should we settle for him?

I knew close to nothing about Rojo prior to the World Cup, but he impressed me from the very first game (which I watched at the Maracanã stadium). Looks like a talented defender, but I wouldn't take conclusions based on a few appearances only.

I would be concerned if he is the best we can sign. I'd rather stick with Flanagan or Robinson.

Don't worry lad, Southampton is the ideal place for Rojo to gain experience before we lodge a £20m bid next summer. If he goes to Southampton then he's as good enough a Liverpool player already. Win-win!
