I've never seen a defender so committed to over-committing as Lovren.

Sums up the state of the clubs current transfer policy for me.

We paid 20m for this lad and sold Martin Kelly for 1.5m, who played centre back for Palace yesterday and didn't put a foot wrong!

Agger was done, but Kelly, Wisdom, Illori could have been given a chance.

Ilori and wisdom are both on loan, which is entirely the right decision.

Not sure if it would have made any difference, but both Wisdom and Illori are very good in the air, and both are much faster than Lovren, in hindsight it might have been a better option to keep one of them.

With the pressure teams put us under this season it would have been neither wise nor fair to throw Illori and Wisdom in to the first team. That's why we opted for the supposed "experience top class" centre back in Lovren.

We did need to sign a top centre back last Summer we just happened to sign a dud.

That's why I said in hindsight, neither could have done any worse that Lovren!

I think Ilori and Wisdom will definitely make Dejan expendable. I've been hoping for the best but I just don't see what Rodgers saw in him.

In no way was Agger done, he would've been a fantastic cover for Sakho. And if our scouts actually did their homework on Can, they would've found out that his best performances were at the back as a CB rather than CM.

I think we would've been ok with, Sakho, Agger, Skrtel & Toure, with Can or Illori as 5th. And as mentioned before, CB wasn't our problem, it was how we were setup as well as our full backs.

What a God awful performance that was, I have defended him on the forum but the littany of errors and mistakes he made the other day were inexcusable and indefendible.

Like I said in another thread needs to sort his sh*t out and prove he is established in the opening few months of next season if he fails to do so he can F**k off in the next window.

Although I do like Trippier.

I still think he is a better player than what he has shown but having said that I don't see him in our best 11 next season so he will have another stop start campaign where his mistakes will be highlighted.

With a very good DM in front he might have more confidence if he is shielded from players with pace running at him.

But you would expect a £20 million player to have minimal mistakes in his locker.

I think he plays worse with Moreno beside him. He looked a hell of alot better when GJ ( yes I said it) was beside him, the match before.
