I'd bet if Virgil or Allison said the same as Dejan some people's reaction would be a bit different.

We should be trying to support and give confidence to all players who put the shirt on not slagging them off and calling th emanager for picking them especially given our current league position proves the manager knows better than anyone on this forum what players he thinks are suitable for a particular game.
Dejan has always been 100% committed maybe sometimes a bit too committed so lets be thankful we have him with Joe and Joel out for a period we need him and lets hope he plays that well they both have a hard tie getting back into the side

The thing is, Lovren has all the physical attributes to be as good as he thinks he is (or nearly    )

Stop digging yourself in deeper lad you’ve looked like a bit of a wally there. Nothing wrong with what he’s said there what’s wrong though is fans like you looking for any reason or excuse to get on his back. Just focus on supporting the team during this amazing run.

Take a look around the place, you’ll see I’ve given him plenty of credit and don’t think there is anything wrong at all saying that he should just focus purely on his game rather than talking. If you have issue with that then that’s up to you, take it however you want. But just because my myself and other fans would rather he didn’t say anything and done his talking on the pitch doesn’t make us not showing support or anything like that, hardly like anyone has come out and said he’s a useless tw*t, he needs to go etc. Which is why although you and other people may deem it something of nothing, why do you then essentially question the support of the people not slagging him off but saying to just concentrate on his game and leave the talking to others.

King Kenny expressed an opinion, a couple of weeks ago you posted a rumour that Clyne won't play for us again because he got in trouble for sexual assault in America, without any source. Virgil wouldn't be so cocky, but if he did say that he'd be right. There is a gulf of difference in ability. Virgil is in another league. Virgil would be first choice at any team in the world.

Look back again at his comments during the World Cup he never said verbatim he’s the best in the world it was the way he was asked the question throughout that whole interview. Then there was the misquoting again about him supposedly faking a back injury which according to some on here was a deliberate ploy by him to influence our transfer plans in the summer by ensuring Klopp wasn’t going to buy another CB.

There’s a trend of too many on here wanting him to fail and he can do no right what shits me is that this is probably the best state the club has been in and some fans can’t get behind the team and club instead feel the need to nit pick for some personal gratification or relevance.

i don't think anybody wants him to fail. Just look at the Napoli incident, Alisson had to make an astonishing save due to Lovren just being very slow to react which let the the Napoli player get to the ball. Lovren just stood there frozen! He'd only been on the field 4 minutes. I know it's a team game, but had Alisson not pulled that off we'd not be looking forward to Munich. Lovren can go a few games looking good and all players make mistakes.. It's just Lovren's mistakes are so easily avoidable for a player of his position it's frustrating, I don't think we'd get a better 4th choice CB though.

Then why post it if you know it’s not credible? It’s essentially what you’ve had a pop at me for about personal gratification. You saw it, took it the way you did and posted it, not expecting a big deal to be made out of it. Shithouse no other way to put it. Nothing surprised me with what he did and didn't do with the ball, what did though was his mobility. Has he lost a significant amount of pace? He was stiff and rigged in his movement and the game flew by him. Not the sole reason for our troubles but I actually am starting to think he is regressing.

I am happy to give players plenty of praise and say how good they are, don’t care who they are, if they are in good form or playing well I say it. Like wise I will say when it’s the opposite.
For you though the second someone says a bad word about Lovren you start saying stuff that’s wrong with this club is certain fans, the way some fans view things etc. Yet no one is calling Lovren a “shithouse” and “regressing”. There is no personal gratification being sought after by saying I think Lovren talks too much and should just concentrate on his football. Have some consistency before you start saying about what’s wrong with fans, getting behind the team and players etc from a moral high ground.

I didn't comment on his comment about us being unbeaten, I very clearly only mentioned about him saying best defender in the world, by pointing out quality difference between the two centre backs. It's you who are taking nonsense, because you are arguing against an unmade point. You should read others posts clearly before arguing against them. Do you think Lovren is the best defender in the world then? Do you think Salah would say he's the best forward in the world? Sounds more like something Ronaldo would say after winning Balon D'or... do you understand why Lovren looks silly self proclaiming to be best in the world? He's not even best defender at Liverpool. About his unbeaten comments, I'll stay out of that one because everybody has their own thought processes and I'm unsure where I stand on it, but when Arsenal said that I got the feeling referees went very easy on them for a while.

I doubt any of the players log onto here or RAWK for that matter.
