Don't know what happened here! He was terrible against Southampton a few weeks ago and tonight - just perfect. What a way to silence a lot of us. Well played Divock. Well played!

He changed my opinions on him completely after one game. What a performance. Not just for the hattrick, but he did play a big part in all of our goals today.

Great performance from Origi! First three goals in a Liverpool shirt all in the same day haha

Hopefully this is a catalyst for him. He's clearly talented (albeit still pretty raw); it'd be wonderful to see him put it all together.

Clearly a talented young player, just hope people begin to recognize it and not slate him at every opportunity.

Great performance today, no better way to get off the mark than scoring a hat trick.

you can only judge him on what we see and until tonight he has been way off good enough. A few weeks under the wings of Klopp and he has turned into a f***in monster.I am so pleased for the Kid what did Klopp say he develops players he doesn't buy them

I just did not see this performance coming from the kid he was exceptional. What a bonus for Jürgen to now have another striking option

I'll admit, I was cursing his name on the team sheet at the start....  He didn't really do much of anything prior to deflecting Moreno'S shot in right before halftime, but what a F***ing goal he scored for the 4th, and his run and finish for the 6th was very encouraging as well.  Hopefully  he can build on this and give Klopp some selection headaches in the weeks to come!!

Immense tonight, made a few of us (including myself) look very silly. If he finds some consistency this kid could be decent.

I've criticised him heavily recently so I'll have a slice of humble pie too, tastes delicious, more please Divock.

Luke those 3 goals will do him the power of good, his confidence will soar and at last we will have players fighting for a selection up front.

Hope you're right Billy, as you say mate players fighting for the shirt can only be a good thing.

Thankfully (luckily) I have always thought he was a good player with plenty of promise, so I can be delighted for him without getting heartburn from all the pie :)

I thought in the first half that he looked far more useful, if not dangerous, when receiving the ball on wide areas; there he interchanged well with the likes of Lallana and Sturridge, and participated in some of the plays; his movement upfront not to the standard of a quality striker such as Sturridge. Fair play to him in the 2nd half though - I certainly wasn't expecting that. A brilliant 2nd goal and a proper striker header for the 3rd. Hope that will do wonders to his confidence and we'll be able to rely on him a little bit more than in previous appearances.

I think he needed that for himself personally and to ease our minds to that we have a goalscorer here. They were 2 superbly taken goals

Congratulations to the lad, a couple of poachers goals and a really crisp strike. Another player who can have a role in this side even if it isn't always as a first choice starter.

F*ck me where did that come from? Just for the record, I said he'd never make a striker while he's got a hole in his @rse  :lmao:.
