That's a mistake you made straight away, you judged him based on stats when at Lille.

Even his first few outings for Liverpool were quite poor. His control was awful, like trying to dribble a beach ball.

But ever since that Southampton game I have completely changed my mind. This boy has bags of talent.

I genuinely think Sturridge and Origi could form a lethal partnership

I'm not saying he wasn't poor for us at the start but to judge somebody based on just stats is crazy.

      Entirely agree mate.
These things don't happen overnight but they could be a lethal combination.

Looks like a high ankle sprain by the way he twisted.  Depending on the severity, could be anywhere from 2 - 12 weeks to heal....

Get well soon lad!!  Been brilliant lately and looking forward to more :)

Really hope it's a maximum of 6 weeks! Could do with going to the euros for the experience and confidence it will give him!

The pic of the incident is horrific, that pr**k put his boot fair and square on the lad's ankle, the F***ing ball was nowhere to be seen.
Should be charged with ABH and banned for a season.
Seen similar challenges that have ended a player's career and plenty that resulted in broken ankles.

It's very fortunate that Origi has come out of it without a break, the injury will be assessed later.

We're dropping like flies towards the end of this season, obviously for different reasons. Just when we had a nice little rotation going with Origi and Sturridge too!

      Tackle from a shithouse & a coward.
It is a bad injury but I'm  just thankful it wasn't any worse
Which it could have easily been.

Thats one of the nastiest tackles I've seen in a long while.
Went in high on the ankle and put his full weight on it - deliberate attempt to seriously injury an opponent.
And then went off patting his badge to show he was proud of himself.
The FA should hammer the dirty f**ker, but they no doubt won't.

Origi's been playing really well too. He's been a lot better player than I was expecting to be honest.
Get well soon, and hope you don't miss the Euros. ( Or the UEFA cup final!)

Yes it's a derby. Take out a player, but do it with dignity. The tackle is just poor. Your team goes down by one man and your mates have to pick up the pieces for you. Your supporters leave before full time. Your manager has to answer or lie for you in front the whole world. What a dumb player. What's there to be proud of? Totally sh*te. Total trash.

They need to make a new rule in football that when a player lunges in and injures another player, they automatically become suspended until the player they injured is medically declared fit to play. The fact that player who made the injury, even with a red card can return sooner than the injured player is an insult to the injured player, the team and the fans.

Don't often agree with a lot of what you post ( I know it's all about opinions), but in this case think that is a cracking idea. Very much doubt that the F A will implement it, but still good all the same.
