Scored a goal and missed a penalty. I know it was only against the 'Ammers' in a friendly but at least it does demonstrate that he does indeed have potential.

Good on the lad and I hope he has a decent season just to stick two fingers up to the doubters here who said he ought to be sold THIS season. He was outstanding whilst playing for the U21's, he just needs more time to acclimatise to new tactics and the PL pace.

Also worth noting he did earn the pen himself.
Here is his rather excellent free kick that he scored against Adelaide: Luis Alberto Fantastic Free-Kick Golazo - Adelaide United Vs Malaga 0-3 (Friendly Match) 25.07.2014

All in all, he is not doing badly so far on loan

I'm not too surprised as I always thought he had a bit of quality about him.

Only just seen this as someone quoted it and I without getting  into the rights and wrongs of drink driving can this one incident really be used to judge his entire character?

Suggests to me he lacks maturity and common sense.

Aye, it suggests it, but it doesn't prove it.

Eh? He's 21 and in a foreign country FFS. I don't know the facts surrounding the case but for all we know he might not have even been pissed and only just failed the BT. Label that at Didi Hamann by all means.

Alcohol can turn the nicest man in the world into Mr Hyde.

I've been off the drink since April last year and do not miss it one bit.
