Great confidence booster prior to next week, we have had a decent pre season, looking at our attack today with lallana and Markavic to come in and hopefully another striker we will be strong but that extra striker is essential !

Seemed to take our foot off the pedal when we took Coutinho off, don't remember us really creating much after that point.

Lovren was very impressive, seems a leader on the pitch and Skrtel is going to have to start paying attention to him because a few times Lovren had the defence step up and we would have caught them offside if Skrtel had done the same instead of being deeper.

Also, who voted in the poll for a Dortmund win? Come on, own up, your in a minority of 1.

Understandable though after being 4-0 up but I agree. With Coutinho off if we want that same spark of creativity we should have brought Suso on and then Ibe for Sterling.

Does worry me Suso didn't get a run out.

Lovren and Skrtel will score plenty of goals between them this season I feel.

Yep, always have massive respect from Dortmund fans a great bunch and always welcome in our backyard. Was a pleasure to hear the atmosphere for a friendly and as always their support for Justice is massively appreciated.

Absolutely agree, a credit to their club and their country. Always glad to see them at Anfield.

Anyone at the game ? Was Lovren vocal I remember him covering Johnson and GJ must have said something and he just sort of acknowledged but didn't give GJ a telling off

Special mention to Raheem and his covering abilities too.

More often than not he tracked back in todays game covering Johnson and was immense in doing so, the team spirit is really there for all to see.

Well i had to stop work to watch that. Very impressed, and well worth it. A massive improvement on where I thought we were currently at regarding our form. Don't wanna piss on the party, but were Dortmund poor, or were we just great. I can't quite make my mind up. They seemed ok when they had the ball for quite long periods, but that also looked like we sat off them a bit to take a rest. Yet it also seemed like when we stepped on the gas, they struggled to cope, and some of our one touch passing and movement was incredible, and at breakneck speed.
Can't really fault anyone on this performance, and I think I'll wait and see how we get on in the first three prem games before I'm convinced
 Think i'm just too scared to believe. But I do hope thats the standard we have set for the season now.
First I'm a bit sceptical about our overall quality, then i'm totally blown away. Funny old game aint it ?
