He's been f**king woeful for all but his first month here.

Hopefully his agent kept in contact with Real Madrid :lmao:

He has to be on his way out this summer.

Milly has had to fill the gap .

That 20s was a cameo of his career at LFC. Completely useless.

Has got to be the dumbest player in the league, which is no small feat!

       ;D

      In all it's glory.

I was laughing. Not at that^. But their keeper running around like a headless chicken trying to tackle Gini.  :lmao:

I know I would have been fuming if they'd have equalised after that^ miss, thankfully I can look back at that and just smile.

Unfuckingbelievable....thought he was Alonso for a second.

You don't have to be Alonso to score from that distance into an open goal, the lad is so F***ing dense that he doesn't realise a ball will curl when hit in that way, a fact most school kids know, its absolutely astonishing! Thank F**k they didn't equalise or he would have been lynched.

The amount of personal level abuse this lad gets considering he puts on a Reds shirt makes me sick sometimes.

It's worse on a match day as well. People actually hate him because he's not that good at defending.

Bet some of you were made up he missed.

The main reason I stay out of match threads.

Then again, a few weeks ago, there were a lot on there saying that Can is sh*te, not good enough, blah blah F***ing blah.
He starts turning in a few performances that the cooler heads knew he was capable of, and it all goes quiet as some search for another target.

      Moreno?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again; good footballer, crap defender.
We'd be better off using him as a spare winger.

You can't seriously compare McAteer to Moreno, McAteer used to tear down the wings with sign end product, Moreno's just a headless chicken.

Different time, different team, different league.

McAteer wouldn't last pissing time now, and Moreno in pure footballing terms is streets ahead of Trigger.

      He's a very talented player.
Just not a defender, or at least one who can cut it in the Prem.

Ive had discussions about McAteer before, some rated him some didn't. I liked him myself. Seems though that we're unanimous that Albert doesn't have a future here sadly.

Not footballing reasons, on the pitch he was OK, but McAteer certainly had a reputation for being as sharp as a spoon.

When a player is a defender can you please explain how its possible to be a good footballer but crap defender, how does that statement make ANY sense??

Sorry but Moreno and very talented just don't belong in the same sentence. Please explain how he's very talented, I genuinely am curious to know because it sure as F**k isn't in hitting an open goal from 40 yards or being able to sense team mates in better positions, or being able to defend, being able to not giving away stupid bloody penalties, being able to put in decent crosses, being able to score a goal. IN fact what other qualities is it that you see where he excels?

When someone calls Carra a poor footballer and great defender , I automatically assume the the footballer is more the technical side of his game. And as for the great defender, more so in his tactical knowledge/intelligence and defensive qualities (tackling, heading positioning).

So I get where Swab is coming from and totally agree with him.

He was OK, but indicative of our decline.
I admired his attitude, but he fell a long way short in terms of ability.

Just to be clear, every team needs grafters, and he could certainly do that, but as far as technical ability went, well the kindest thing to say is he lacked it.
