Spurs have had a harder start then us?

West Ham and QPR were the teams they've played? QPR weren't in the PL last season and West Ham finished 13th.

City had Newcastle and Stoke, both teams finished below any team we've played so far.

We've played Southampton, City and Tottenham. 3 top who were in the top 10 last season.

Plus we played two away from home while the others played 2 of their three at home.

We've had by far and away the toughest start out of the top 6 teams.

Think you missed a trick there mate!

Well that was easy. Plenty of goals, a clean sheet and promise of things to come; what's not to like? YEEHA!  ;D

I loved Riise when he was at the club, being a left mid/left back myself I think I'm going to love Moreno just as much. Was a great goal that he scored today. For a small guy, he's not half strong.

      Our fullbacks today were immense.

And Sterling...this kid is beyond brilliant. First class player.

Masterstroke by Brendan signing a second first team quality striker, we play significantly better with a forward who can create, hold-up, score goals, and just be a presence. Sterling and Sturridge were unleashed by Balotelli and that's how we won the game I thought. Looking forward to seeing what we've got going forward, as it was an impressive debut by Mario.

Moreno was brilliant, I see Manquillo as a huge step up on Jonhson, and Sakho was lacking match sharpness, but I think we're a better defense with him back there.

Hendo is continuing his rise to becoming the replacement for Stevie I think. His vision and ability are starting to match his passion and stamina. Love it.

Sterling, Balotelli, and Sturridge are going to be very dangerous this season I think. Once the chemistry starts to heat up and they really are clicking then I think we can dominate teams.

As for the subs, I think Markovic is of a really high quality and can be an extremely dangerous player, just seems to lack that little bit of confidence for right now but I'm very excited to see what he's got. Emre Can we've already seen a lot of and he's impressed me every time. Good combination of strength and skill and I hope he replaces Allen sooner rather than later.

Biggest plus for me was the change to a 4-5-1 when we went 3 up.....BR has learned from last year and chose to tighten the game up whilst keeping a massive threat with our pace on the break.

Well that was a pile of sh*t wasn't it?  :D

Delighted with that performance - a great all round performance, restricted Spurs to something like ONE shot on target. Everyone played well, and the critics say there is no future without Suarez???

Well, from what I saw, three os the signings made from the Suarez funds were FANTASTIC. Balotelli looked fab, a bit more match sharpness and he would have got a goal, but he held the ball up so well, offering attacking options lacking in the previous matches. MORENO WAS GREAT!!!! It looks like the long long search for a top quality full back is over - he was excellent defensively, excellent attacking wise (well that was obvious!), a fantastic performance. Caught out of position once or twice but unbelievably this is only his second game. As for LOVREN, what a leader in the defence - he led that line PERFECTLY. I can't remember a more well rounded defensive performance for a long time - he's a top top defender, cool and calculated and a shouter on the field. What a performance, and Sakho warmed into the game after a little nervous start, but some of Sak's challenges were great. And Manquillo - far far far more solid than Glen Johnson, positionally seems so so superior.

Great performance, and a great reaction ton Monday's defeat. Well done to the boss too on his 100th game, he set us up perfectly.

How good were we? Should have been 6 or 7. Worked well as a team. Yes we had a couple of errors at back but 95% of the time the unit was tight and worked well. Still too much room in between Lovren/Sakho and the RB or LB when they go to the ball.

      Raheem is better than boss.

That was us at 70% of last years talent but the big difference is depth and full backs bombing on. Loving seeing the new Arne at LB. He was awesome. Manquillo did great too.

Great century game win and clean sheet for the Gaffer.

      Congrats Bren.

It's games like this, when I feel like we need a moment of the match as well as a man of the match poll.  This back line looks like it's going to need time to settle as a unit.  Henderson put in a stunning shift.  Think we're going to see Sterling's facehugger celebration a fair few tims this season.

Sterling's limit in quality has no ceiling. We need to lock down that contract and put a silly break clause in there. We can not lose him next summer when Barca and Real come knocking and they will.

It was a big 3 points for us before the international break, most would of thought 6 out of 9 points taken would be required at the start of the season and we fulfilled that. Thought other than 10-15 minute run in the 1st half our mid-field was very strong, really made it hard on Eriksen and Lalama to create much and had Adorbayor isolated up top on his own.

Now cross our fingers that players who are out with their national teams return in one piece before the next flurry of games

So impressive today. We are actually better playing a diamond because Sturridge doesn't get isolated. And sterling's ability to track back is great. I hope we stick with that back 4

Loved Sterling today, but as his quality is assured, I'll give it to Moreno and Lovren.

I thought for new signings they were fan-F***ing-tastic!

      Great 3 points.

Most pleasing aspect for me was the fact we were comfortable and could have haad more WITHOUT PLAYING THAT WELL!!
