With it being international week I thought we might be bored so heres a topic that Im sure hasn't been done before!
The best Liverpool 11s have been done to death but what about naming your best Liverpool 11 of players that you never seen in action, DVD doesn't count!
Example being Billy Liddell. Obviously I never seen him most on here wouldn't but yet we all know that he is regarded as possibly the greatest Liverpool player so he makes the cut
Ill start off
1) Ray Clemence; Brucie was well established before I was a red so this is a no brainer
2) Silent night, Chris Lawler. 40 odd goals from Right full
say no more
3) Gerry Byrne. The sheer fact he played the cup final from the 3rd minute on with a broken collar bone would see him in the team. Hard as they come
4) Emlyn Hughes: Just an absolute legend and gem of a player
5) Ray Kennedy: When Liverpool greats are talked about it amazes me how little this man is mentioned. A fantastic player who had everything in his armoury
6) Ron Yeats. Colossus. Say no more!
7) Ian Callaghan: As well as being class the longevity of his career assures him of a place. Proper legend.
Terry McDermott: Sublime footballer and could hold his own goal of the season competition. The inventor of the late run into the box?
9) Roger hunt: Hit 41 goals in one season. I'm having that. Didn't earn the title "Sir Roger" for nothing
10) Perhaps the surprise pick here. Gordon Hodgson. Scored over 200 goals for Liverpool. Only Rushie and Sir Roger scored more. That's enough to earn him a place
11) Billy Liddell: At a time when the club was struggling it was known as LIDDELLPOOL due to the brilliance of the man. Was he the best ever? Well probably never really know but the sheer fact that for some he is and those people seen Dalglish says how brilliant the man must have been
That's my 11. Ok I bottled it a bit. I had to pick Ray Kennedy and Billy Liddell so Ive moved players around to positions that they only played as a secondary position. But fook it Im the manager
Clemence
Lawler Yeats Hughes Byrne
Liddell Callaghan McDermott Kennedy
Hunt Hodgson
