There's some potential in this team but it's in need of inspiration. I think they are of a higher level technically than past England teams but it's completely the wrong manager to deliver that promise and ability. It's hilarious that the FA think he is the man to do just that. Like inviting Daniel O Donnell to conduct Beethoven's symphony no.9.

I would rather have Arry and I really dont like Arry. All these young players being lead by a dinosaur. Is it any wonder that we never win anything when the FA think yes ROY is our man to take us to the promised land

Of course! Further to my post about Jurassic Park being shown right before the match ITV were clearly intent on keeping up the dinosaur theme for today!

You can write whatever you want about Rooney...no really write what ever you want, he won't be able to read it anyway.

Seems to me that the whole set up is to give the ball to Rooney so that he can break Sir Bobby's record ! he's a waste of space, Wilshire's had two strikes at the ball and found the net !

Finally Rooney buries one. It shouldn't take 4 sitters for it to happen though.

If Lallana can find a way to use his strength rather than get knocked to the ground he will be a player.Awesome touch and technique but weak as piss

I don't know how Sterling missed that early chance... he's often lacking an end product.

Well, so basically after finishing 3rd at the World Cup it looks like my country Netherlands won't even qualify for Euro 2016. Qualifiers have been just terrible. Today played Iceland at home and really had to win as we're 3rd in our group behind Iceland and Czech Republic. First set back, Robben had to go off early because of an injury again, which will also will keep him out of the next game. Then Martins Indi makes a stupid foul and gets send off with red. Then Van der Wiel causes a stupid penalty, which Iceland score.  And so another loss.
