Bloody hell letting Suso run his contract down...

If Varane was truly available for any price we should get him. Partnered up with Sakho and the two already know each other well, so should acclimatise. That said, there's no chance of Real selling him.

At 23 it was the right time to move on, but how we didn't get a bean for him, just makes no business sense.

to partner Luis Alberto in the middle of the park next season.

Would prefer Suso over Alberto any day mate.

Woudln't be surprised if we actually offloaded Alberto for a few mill to Malaga come season end.

I rather Teixera over the 3 of them.

Allen, Alberto, Aspas, Assaidi,  should be offloaded 2-4-1. (What is it with A's?)

Shame if United get Varane, would love him here! Him and Sakho would be beast, that's where the £20 mil on Lovren should have gone.

Its a shame that Brendan Rodgers has saved his job to do more damage to our beloved club through more mediocre signings i.e. Defoe, Berahino etc. In truth he is simply not appealing to all the special players as they dont trust him with their careers #Shaqiri #Mikitharyan #Deigo Costa #Alexi Sanchez ... I could go on and on. Now even Gerrard cannot trust Rodgers with the twilight of his career. What a shame. Players don't trust Brendan and will prefer to go to Mancini, Mourinho etc. Mr J. Henry please save your legacy and bring a continental manager as players will play for these managers.

Oh have we signed Defoe and Berahino? Didn't realise!

I have a feeling that if I met you in real life, there would be a strongly worded discussion. You sound like the sort of person who has spent his life being punched in the face. I hope you recover from this affliction to become less of a sh*t person.

Worth noting that if the rumours are true about Suso, they don't get him for free. There will be a decent fee (though not near his true value) paid for developing the player even though his contract is being run down.

Apparently FIFA made all that even worse, starting this season the cost is just 10k euros per year developed. Truely unbelievable, it's not even that bad for us, but it's a major slap in the face for clubs in smaller competitions with a good academy.

That is shocking. Many small clubs absolutely rely on that money being a fixed value so that they don't have to worry about being fu**ed over by their talented youth players running down their contracts.
