I really want to see Brendan turn this around but it all becomes self fulfilling very quickly.

Lose Suarez - confidence drops a little in the team
Start out ok but then Sturridge gets injured - confidence drops a little in team
Ballotelli comes in and looks lazy - confidence drops a little in the team
Players play badly but keep their place - confidence drops in the manager
Players play well but don't get a start - confidence drops in the manager
All of the above feeds into results - confidence drops in the manager and the team

I have no doubt that a confident Brendan and squad can win these games, but once the rot
sets in, its extremely difficult to turn around. When we scored early today I really thought, win
this and we can start to turn around, but instead its now added to the disaster.

I don't want it to the case but unless we get two wins in the next two games I think Brendan
      will be summoned to Boston.

I believe seeing the true colors of BR now :-

      1.  He likes non-aggressive players and non-aggressive tactics thus he bought Allen, Borini , Manquillo, Markovic, Lovren and Cou (At least Cou is useful)etc. The committee should also be sacked this very moment.
      2.  He likes possession football without any real intention of attacking and hurting the opposition - evidently seen today
      3. Overly cautious in his tactics - look at the number of side and back passes among our defenders and midfield, it's shocking
      4. Too rigid in his tactics, no movement  at all between the midfield and front line and void of ideas. I wonder whether he knows how to link the midfield and attack. The defence, midfield and front line is so departmentalised as if they just got off the coach and started the game.
      5.  More importantly, I;m not sure whether he's on the training pitch to witness and try out those movements or that he left it to his 2 below par coaches who does nothing but side and backpasses in training.

120 mil has gone to waste, it could have easily bought us a costa, sanchez, benzema and Willian.

This continue, we'll be fighting a relegation battle soon. Call me a knee jerk but continue with such tactics and not doing a total revamp, BR is simply asking for it. And if FSG can do that to Kenny, I'm sure that''s exactly what is on their mind at the moment.

I think Ludo game might be Rodgers death knell if we lose

If we win we will scrape it.

You have to go back to 1953 to find a worst run of defeats than we've had this season. We got relegated that year. There was a point in the game that epitomised Liverpool this season. 51 minutes gone, Lambert keeps the ball alive out wide, turns towards goal and not a single Red shirt is in the box. That isn't coaching because no coach is going to tell his players to not get in the box, it's the players. Any kid playing footy on the park is going to get in to goal scoring positions, never mind a professional footballer in the country's top league.

Gerrard playing deep is also a problem but that's not near the biggest problem with him. He's the F***ing club Captain for Christ sake and he's not acting like it at all. I can't remember once this season where he's rallied the players around him to try get a lift out of them and often he's the first one whose head goes down. He's the club Captain, he needs to start acting like one even if his own form is suffering from being played out of position and a lack of outlet for his talents.

Liverpool has a lot of problems right now, from top to bottom and there is one person at fault nor any Silver bullet that will fix things. Yes Rodgers is persisting with the same team selection that isn't working and yes he needs to start changing things but more than anything right now, Liverpool's players need to start showing some pride in the shirt they're wearing and show some guts and determination out there and that starts and ends with the Captain.

Thought it was the late game.  Glad I missed it.  Something needs to change, and IF Brendan can't figure out how to change his tactics to help us get results then he needs to go.  It's all well and good trying to play pretty football, but it means nothing if you lose game after game.....

Absolutely dire. These are more than just defeats we're witnessing here.

Players seem to have no direction, no belief, no fight. The manager doesn't seem to have any clue on his best team, he's churning out sh*te tactics week in, week out. Unbelievable that after a season of such progression, in 2 months we've gone back to how we played against West Brom in Brendan's first game in charge.

      Totally broken right now.

      You being serious? :lmao:

Surely you've read this forum for the past couple of months... Nothing I said in that post was incorrect, nor was it intended to counter-productive. Not sure how the 'manc' point is relevant. Have you considered though that most posts in this thread today have been negative and counter-productive? Barely seen any positive comments on any topic other than the goal. Go moan to and insult somebody else.

I would say the same thing to anyone with your negativity.

Manager aside, this is very true.

I was wondering, is Dr Steve Peters still working with us on the psychological side of things, because I remember him being hailed for his influence on our excellent performances last season?

Everyone in my house probably thinks his first name is Fuckoff from what they hear me shouting at the telly when the game's on. There's also Fuckoff Johnson, Fuckoff Gerrard and Fuckoff Rodgers. Becoming a common name.
