Not good enough for most of the game. Should have played like last 10 minutes the whole game.

Left it too late. Where was that passion earlier on.

Give it a right proper go for the last 20 minutes but too little too late.  Played off the pitch in the first half.  Stupid, idiotic mistake by Markovic. 

but that last 20 minutes just shows that they CAN play with passion and intensity.

Because BR is a very negative and plays overly safe football with hendo, Lucas and Allen, he lost the game in the first half.

I'm gutted, but think on the whole, from our performances in the six matches, we didn't deserve to qualify.

I feel gutted for Gerrard - the only player who didn't looked overawed by the occasion.

He was the only winner with any self-belief, and the only player who got it all right in high pressure situations.

He is the only winner in this squad. The rest of them are not winners, they quite simply lack the self belief.

But at least Stevie's conscience is clear - the rest of them? Perhaps not.

The last 20 minutes was the only time we've ever really been on top of a game this season in the CL.

Much better half!! Finally asked them questions. We are not good enough for slow build up play any longer! We need a clear vision and for me its Markovic and Sterling wide, with Gerrard deep, with Coutinho as the 10 and a much more direct approach now!

We should be wiping away a team like Basel but we've been so poor all season anyone can get a draw out of us.
