It looks like he has been offered to Liverpool for £6m (amongst others)...

Terry Burton, the West Bromwich Albion technical director, indicated on Friday that striker Saido Berahino could be put up for sale this month. Liverpool have given serious consideration to the 21-year-old. However, West Brom are demanding £20 million, which could make a January deal hard to negotiate.

We'd be aiming high with Defoe, very high. Top 4 a certainty with a player like Defoe upfront for us.

In all seriousness, he is not good enough, and while he could grab a goal here or there, we really have to be aiming higher.

I don't think this will happe, anyway.

He is better than anything we have here. And with the little money available, its a GO for me.

If that's all we can afford, go and get the lad. Was top quality during his Tottenham days and fingers corssed he hasn't lost that ability. We know he knows how to find the back of the net and he has to be a better option than Borini.

True, but Borini is worth £11m- £14m to some crazy clubs so if it was a choice to F**k that Italian clown out the door and get Defoe until the end of the season, I'd take it. Anything would be better than Borini in my eyes.

Can Jermain Defoe hold the ball up? can he create something out of nothing? is he comfortable drifting out wide, dropping deep and getting involved in build up play? If the answer is no, then no thanks!

Don't worry. Its Leicester hasn't confirmed anything, there is still time for us to hijack the deal ;)

I agree...I fear that we are going to get some 2nd or 3rd rate striker and Sturridge back and everyone will say 'oh we got Sturridge back, thats like picking a transfer striker'

I'm sure it's probably just a joke but it's a worry. I'd hate to think that the club now accepts that it can no longer attract top players - I'm sure they're confident that that's not the case, but I'll be relieved when I hear he's gone to qpr or Leicester. Nothing personal, just business!

Ok if this is serious,  this is very serious. 4 out of 5 brendan Rodgers strikers are an absolute failure.... This sounds like 10000% another one.

Love him as a coach and manager but he has to stop making mistakes like this. ... killing himself and the club.

      Can't be true though.

20 mil seems to be a nice round figure when LFC are linked .
