      Just mere speculation and I sadly can't see us getting him. When was the last time we bought a player who genuinely excited us?

      Suarez was met with widespread approval and that was it wasn't it?

      The lack of marquee signings has been shocking for a club of Liverpool's size.

      Rodgers told us Borini was going to be "exciting."
