Rafa's done well here. Couldn't stop Alonso leaving considering he wanted to do so back in May, but Rafa stuck to his guns and instead of getting 20-25 million at the start of the season, he's got 30million and already has the replacement taking his medical.

Though it's sad to see Xabi go, Rafa's conducted his business pretty well considering.

Rafa's done a great job in my mind. He held out and made Madrid pay what we thought was fair, and then has swiftly made what will be a good signing i feel, injuries permitting.

Agreed. That Poulsen looks like bloody nutcase from what I've seen.
Aquilani looks miles classier and is 4 years younger too.

Must be the quickest sighning on record, have a feeling that this deal was all done a while ago and the only thing missing was Xabi's departure. All I hope for now is the guy will slot in like he's always been here, at least he wont be on his own in being the only Italian, that has to help.
