Interesting name for a football club.  Good luck to the lad. Hope he kicks on with regular competitive games.

Totally forgot about Chirivella tbh, but nice video that show cases his distribution from deep and composure. It actually reminds me of Xavi, in terms of how he shifts the ball.

Again, I forgot about Chirivella, but it looks like he has been a regular (33 games) for Willem II who are 13th in the league. Does anyone actually know how he has been playing and how he has been used? I was very impressed with him in pre-season and was gutted we loaned him in the summer.

Would say playing 33 games, means he played well,no? Helped kept the team up,we'll see what's up when pre season comes around. He could easily get a gig in la liga,if he doesn't think there's first team chances here.

Well, he can play at a higher level for sure, so I can understand why.

The Norwegian league is not that bad and Trondheim where Rosenborg are based, is a beautiful place. Plus Rosenborg regularly play in Europe, but I can appreciate its a bit far away for a young lad.

He was excellent today, particularly in the 2nd half. Was a candidate for motm for me. Very composed, passed it well and put in tackles. One of several youngsters of whom looked like they could be plugged into the first team if needed.

And this from someone who sat out the 2nd half of last year when his loan was denied for administrative reasons. Didn't feature for us in preseason. I thought he was gonzo for sure. But Klopp mentioned he played well in the League Cup at Villa and as you say, he was quite good today. We're down three first team midfielders at the moment so, maybe an opportunity for him here.

So pleased for this lad who hasn't quite had the luck but at 22 there is a reason he is still here and today he showed why.

I gave him my vote for MOTM thought he was very good too and played a big part in that second half when we totally dominated.   The thing is all the boys played fantastic they were basically Junior Mentality Monsters ESPECIALLY in that second half!

Pedro shut some people up, atleast for a game. Got some unfair criticism this campaign, and I dont get it.

Very professional shift. Played calculated and measured on the ball, worked his ass off to get it back, and ran into great positions to pick it up. His play in the 2nd half really separated the possession in our favor and broke their spirit. Motm for me

Rumours that a new contract will be offered to him.  All good impressed me yesterday, he was good against villa and the cameo against arsenal.  For the vast majority of the last decade it seemed we ignored defensive midfielder position.   Nice to have a few on the books.

Has he? Not seen any of that myself, if anything he's just been forgotten about apart from when we've had a cup game coming up.

He's a player that isn't good enough to be with the first team in the league or Europe, but is an ideal player to come in when you've gone for a completely rotated team. Got a bit about him and he's played decent in the few appearances he's made but not done anything to suggest his role at the team would change if he was to stay another season. He's 22/23? Think if he was really going to make it and be involved with the team then it would have happened by now.
Midfield is a heavily packed area for us and the fact we've got Jones banging on the door to play, it's an unfortunate situation for him.

Fair play to him though, he wanted to leave but ended up staying, spent the season with the U23's with only a few first team appearances when we've rotated for the cups and given his age, he could have kicked up a fuss or not put the effort in because he knows he's off in the summer, but he has worked as hard as everyone else by the looks of it.

I think he deserves to play in the next round of the Cup.  Hopefully start with Jones and an experienced Midfielder.   If he signs a new contract and continues with this form, personally, I would be glad if we gave him another season.

Chris Pajak crushed him before the game the other day.
