they're not half bad.  I like how aggressive they are in their defence.  Risky with all those sliding tackles in the box but it's fun to watch.

Sakho done well so far, Coutinho looks a bit out of it but can you blame him with all the times they keep knocking him to the ground.  loved to see him track back and help out Sakho.

Strange half that. Good and bad in parts. Sloppy and great passes. Students still way off his best and should have passed early on to leave a lallana sitter.   Need to get 1 or 2 here to progress

We need to step this up, we cannot afford to concede an away goal, it won't be easy to win over there!

Sloppy half for me. Trying to do too much going forward, some players definitely holding on to the ball for far too long. Defensive a bit shaky and they could have easily nicked a goal.

Coutinho and Sturridge guilty of that a few times. One touch too many.

Weird game. Very quick half. Hopefully we can find some composure up top and start creating better chances.

Ibe player of the half. He's a beast.

Far from a bad 45 mins. Started well, then just fell away after 10 mins. What followed was 30 mins of nothing and a Demba Ba chance. We moved up a gear in the last 5 mins and had a few decent chances. Come out and have a real go at them and they'll break.

We were the better team, though they're dangerous on the break. Think we deserved to be one up, a few good chances from set-pieces, though we were missing the final pass from open play.

Our wide players have been very good, impressed by Ibe - cool-headed, not over-whelmed tonight. Moreno on the left took a little longer to get into the game, but was imposing himself more as the half went on, and what a pile-driver of a shot near the end, looked like Riise was back from retirement!

I really find that our possession play has been horrible and has been since the loss of Lucas.

I would like to see Balotelli or Borini on for Lallana and have Hendo play more attacking.

I thought Lallana was fairly bright meself, I'd be disappointed if Borini came on for him that's for sure, Sterling would make more sense if he were to come off.

I'd agree with that assessment mate, we've got I to some positions in wide areas but then have picked the wrong pass or been a bit Aimless with the cross. If we could sharpen up our final ball we will be in pretty good shape. I'd like to see Ibe, Lallana and Coutinho drive into the box whenever they have the chance. I fancy we'll win a penno if they do.

Moreno actually reminds me of Riise in a lot of ways, both have a decent strike, both strong as an ox, both incredibly one footed and a bit limited going forward

Slightly disappointed we haven't got at them more if I'm honest, they have done F**k all for me except Ba's effort, they are there for the taken if I'm honest and all it would take is for us to up the tempo, Ibe looks like he can beat anyone at any time so we need to give him the ball more, he will make things happen, Sturridge is trying to hard and at times a tad selfish, Lallana is a key element he's drawing the defender and gives Ibe the space to run in behind,

Second half I'd up the tempo at run at their defence constantly, one goal will bring us a second, keep it solid at the back and don't let them f***in breath,

C'mon Redmen, this is ours to lose, these kunts haven't been in it, just need a tad more application and it's ours.

Not too sure Moreno is limited going forward, more a case of he needs to work on his delivery IMO.
