Liverpool 1:2 Aston Villa In game & post match "debate".

They pressing us really quick on the ball and our passing is hurried and poor.
When we do have space, we hold the ball too long and let them press and put us under pressure again.
A bit more movement off the ball would create a bit more space but they know what makes us uncomfortable.
Migs unlucky, almost got to bentekes shot.
We certainly second best at the mo even though we went ahead. Only had  about 15 mins of dominance 1st half.
Wonder if Brendan will change anything with set up second half. ?
They seem full of confidence and we need to get a hold of the midfield, we being bullied at the moment

Emre Can looks superb in their half - why do we not push him forward and try and win the game?

The middle seemed too congested to me, so I could understand why we switched formations.

I really would look to play Gerrard deeper and get him on the ball more, feeding passes into our attackers and try to keep things composed at the back.

I actually think it's the right type of game for him. Villa are pushing us deep and we need him to hit long to which of course isn't an option with sterling, still wont completely solve the midfield issue as they have to be up close enough to make his knock downs/hold up play effective but I'd certainly bring him on, he will improve our possession no end.

Truth is; none of them are doing much of any of that - if we keep the same three I'd have Stevie in the deeper role with Joe n Jordan in front... Coutinho at front of diamond - two up front.
