Don't think we will sell him, don't want him sold, didn't get enough game time for me.

Doubt he will get much game time any more. Ing and Origi will be ahead of him, not to mention Studge to come back and Benteke a probable deal. He is 33 now, hasn't been prolific...probably best if he moved on. Happy for the lad that he got to wear the shirt of his boyhood club and score, it's a dream come true.

On Citytalk this morning that WBA are preparing a 3m bid.

Hope he moves on for the sake of his career rather than playing the occasional EL or league cup game here.

Think he would do a good job for Pulis at WBA too.

Out of the 3 duds last season I feel more sorry for rickie, Think the move came too late for him. Absolutley no pace, Gerrard took the penners, and we had a 16m dud getting a game ahead of him. and then a young winger\snake getting a game b4 him too.

Hope he gets a move and gets plenty games.

£3 million for Rickie will be good business.

If we can get another £15 million for Balotelli, Borini and Enrique our net spend will only be a few million while our squad will be significantly stronger over last season.

We will have enough in the kitty to sign another player in January if needs be.

Another pointless signing heralded as "great business" when he first came in.

I thought it was a decent signing at the time, but he needed to play regularly to have any kind of impact - I don't think he ever really had a chance to succeed.  A move is best for everyone involved and I will wish him all the best when he moves.

tbf. I thought Rickie would do better, but as the season progressed it became obvious he was not quite upto it.

He scored more league goals than borini & Balo though. ;D

I've no idea how anyone can be miffed at Rickie getting his chance to represent the Club last season, it probably meant more to him than any other player other than Stevie.  He was probably gutted that he didn't have a bigger impact but I'd never begrudge a true Red from fulfilling his lifelong dream.

Hope you've treasured every moment Rickie and can retire happy when the time comes to hang up your boots  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

Those who want to winge and moan about every little thing that goes on at the club will be miffed Debs.

The rest of us will just see it as something that didn't work out, didn't cost us anything really, and seen a fan get a chance to play for his club.

The amount of moaning about every little thing this summer is getting beyond a joke.

Lad has just got on with it, no interviews of disgruntlement, think he was happy to fulfil his dream of representing his boyhood club even though not getting the opportunities he deserved.

      All the best Rickie.

It's been tedious since the start of last season Si and even though I let rip towards the end of the season I just can't for the life of me understand the need for constant and continual moaning.

The players still here, the new players coming in, the players who've left, the manager, the coaches, the rebuild, the pitch, the fixtures, the Europa League, the money spent, the money not spent......blah, blah, blah.

It's a new season, a new beginning for everyone and I'd rather look on the bright side than decide before a ball's been kicked that it's going to be a shocker.

Rickie was always coming in to be 3rd choice striker. Don't forget we sealed the transfer before the World Cup when Suarez was still on the team.

Hope he was able to enjoy his time here in spite of the lack of playing time. Was really wishing he would have more of an impact...a Cinderella story...but I guess I never really believed that he'd come in and have a huge impact. Hopefully can end his career on his terms and can look back fondly on getting to represent his favorite club.
