This lad has scored 4 career goals spanning 3 seasons and 2 loan spells and hasn't done much for Russia no goals there either.
Firminio has 4 from 10 games for Brazil in a little more then a year and averaged 1 in 4 from midfield for a mid table German side. Add that to the fact that we didn't pay the reported fee and I think most people are well pleased with getting him
This lad however?
All you have done is read facts, so I'm going to do it myself.
You say that like he's banged the goals in against the world's best like Argentina and Germany, when in reality the goals have come against teams like Honduras and Venezuela.
Another thing, the Premiership is a higher caliber and a lot more competitive than the Bundesliga. So I don't think the goals to game ratio will quite transfer, along with the fact he is isn't going to be one of our main penalty takers like he was at Hoffenheim (which makes up quite a few of his 1 in 4 ratio)
No one but the clubs and player involved have any idea of the price or structure of the deal. So as far as I'm concerned the deal is worth £29 million.
It will be remained to see if he is value for money. So lets not turn this into the Firmino thread, because nothing more can be said on the matter. Because you like I, and like the other 99.9% of people on this forum have never watched him play for a credible amount of time where you can judge his progression and development as a footballer.
