Can little Cou Not be influential in this happening? If we get Firmino, Clyne and Digne for the price of Sterling that would be fantastic!

Can Little Cou - sounds like our midfield 3 next season once we sign the mighty Andy Little from preston or Mark Little of bristol city to be our marquee Gerrard replacement.

Type of player that will be atrracted by BR at the moment

Liverpool are "considering" yeah we've heard all that before.

No surprise the bookies putting us favourites, trying to milk all our hope but in the words of Brendan himself:

"You can live without water for so many days, but you can't live a second without hope."

So while we're alive they can milk us basically Brendan? :lmao:

Barrett reporting our "interest"  and that we're still considering a bid.

Apparently, United's attention has turned towards Filipe Anderson

the list is longer....Willian, Erikson, lamela,...

some so called targets are  media gossip.
if you see articles about Firmino , you will find some say done deal with the sc*m ,some  say LFC hijacked this deal, others say the contrary
about Kovacic, we have been reading that a deal was agreed for days now , and everytime its rebuffed by inter or the player's agent
Maybe because the transfer window is not officially open yet, who knows we will see, hoping for a good outcome this time

This new Firminho link is ridiculous. All it means is that the club have an excuse for not signing him. "Well we tried but unfortunately we made our bid too late and he went to United".

Apparently they are a pretty reliable source. Still, though, it's us. So I won't get carried away just yet.

According to some, advances stages just means Ian Ayre walking out of discussions, shrugging his shoulders and saying "We tried".

This is the original article: http://globoesporte.globo.com/futebol/futebol-internacional/noticia/2015/06/liverpool-vira-favorito-e-esta-perto-de-contratar-roberto-firmino.html

I'll make an attempt of a free translation of the relevant part, please ignore any mistakes

Liverpool become favorites and are close to the signing of Roberto Firmino
Negotiations between the Reds and Hoffenheim are in its final stage, and a deal is close

Liverpool are the probable destination of Roberto Firmino after the attacking midfielder participation in the Copa America. The club has become the favorite in the English battle with Man Utd and Man City. The deal depends on a positive response from German club Hoffenheim, and the negotiations between the clubs are evolving quickly. The transfer will not be sealed for less than 25m euros and the player should sign a 5 years contract.

The rest of the article just gives some information about Firmino's career, but nothing relevant regarding the supposed transfer.

I find it interesting we are targeting an attacking midfielder. Makes me curious what formation we might be using.
