He could turn into our 21st century Keegan. Now he was before my time, but I think he's got what it takes to emulate him.

Three months can change you massively. He is playing brilliantly and has that little trick in his pocket each time. Firmino is getting used to his teammates.

I think it is more that his teammates are getting on the same wavelength as he is.  Said it months ago that some of the reasons he looked bad was because he would play a ball expecting a player to understand his intentions and run on to it. When they stood still he looked bad. I think the whole team is starting to gel now.

I think we have all been fooled into thinking he is an attacking midfielder...........He is a striker with a great work rate who likes dropping deep.

He always was that type of player mate. He's like a Coutinho/Suarez hybrid in terms of play style.

How Brendan got him and thought to play him right wing is beyond me.

Made a bet with my United supporting friend that he would score more than Martial back when he had yet to notch one and Martial had scored 4 in his first 6. Feeling pretty confident about it now.

Statistically, he made the most goals in the premier league in 2016, more than Sergio Aguero, and every other PFL Player. What a signing  ;D

It's just a great turnaround for all of us, we expected loads from this player, he looked a bit off-pace or something. Then he aclimatised and looks to be going from strength to strength.
It's like buying a quality player mid season. But we had him already, that could happen for a few of the players we have here or on loan.

I also think it is all good. We can beat Southampton without him and he won't be playing in the international break.

It is only a very minor hamstring injury apparently. He has to miss the game today and Brazil matches but should be ready to face Spurs after that. Of course he can't play today because it would probably get worse and he would be out for some time then, so we don't have to be too worried. If we get a result today then it is no real loss. On the bright side, he will be fresh after international break whilst some players may be leggy.

Apparently it is our 17th hamstring injury under Jürgen. That's including both of Rossiter's and Coutinho's who have had 2 each.

So is there an International break after today's game? Perfect, time for him to get better for the run in, if it is.

Good. Hope he's back to help us tw*t Spurs and then go to Dortmund. I know top four is unlikely at this point, but I badly want to win the Spurs game just to stop them winning the title. Wouldn't be able to live with those cu*ts winning it. I really can't stand them.

      ALMOST OFF TOPIC:

STATS SQUAWKA ROBERTO FIRMINO / MARTIAL

      MARTIAL
      Games played......: 24
      Chances created..: 29
      Shot accuracy......: 51%
      Avg duels won......: 44%
      Avg pass accuracy: 77%
      Goals scored..........: 07
      Assists................. ...: 03
      ===========================
      ROBERTO FIRMINO
      Games played.......: 25
      Chances created...: 40
      Shot accuracy.......: 53%
      Avg duels won.......: 43%
      Avg pass accuracy: 76%
      Goals scored..........:  08
      Assists................. ...:  07

I saw Michael Owen saying other day that "Firmino miss the ball all the time"; but you never see any pundit saying anything like that about Martial...

I have no problem if the pundits and the sportive media its dumb, but the question is, they made the mind of so many fans....if you follow a Liverpool game, in the thread of ANY Liverpool fans site, you will see them just repeat the cliches of the media...

LOOK THE STATS: MARTIAL(the media's golden boy) have ALMOST THE SAME PASS ACCURACY(77/76%), but no pundit say "HE IS MISSING THE BALL ALL THE TIME"...
MARTIAL  have almost the same stats of duels won(44/43%); LESS SHOT ACCURACY - almost the same tbf(51/53%); and look the CHANCES CREATED:
       MARTIAL - 29;
       FIRMINO - 40!!!!!!! Wtf.

      Now lets talk about goals/assists..
      FIRMINO 1569 MINUTES PLAYED: 08 GOALS / 07 ASSISTS

MARTIAL  2084 MINUTES PLAYED: 07 GOALS /03 ASSISTS....

They have almost the same number of games - 25 / 24; and Firmino played in a most deep role many times; LESS MINUTES; LOOK THE STATS.. why Liverpool fans in internet let United fans and pundits get away with pathetic excuses like "Body language"?? " oh, look how Roberto Firmino doesn't looks bothered when he lost the ball"; "that Martial kid is the next big thing"; "he is dangerous any time he get the ball" - that last come right from a "Liverpool fan"...

No, Martial is not a bigger threat, no, he is not better beating his man, passing the ball, shoting, assisting, creating chances or scoring..but he is the next balon d'or contender of the media.

Other day in the RED CAFE, the mancs were trashing COUTINHO, before his amazing goal, with all that media rubish about "consistency", etc.. then, some of them lets the true to appear when he said: "THAT COUTINHO LAD IS ANYTHING THAT MATA SUPPOSED TO BE"...

unnecessary to warn that my English sucks.
