Yeah he was fu**ed for the last 10 minutes or so, should have been subbed imo. Think the boss was probably thinking it's better to have 50% player who will track than 100% player who wont. Maybe a Sturridge or Solanke could have got the 4th, but we shouldn't have needed it.

Overall though he was clear MotM again.

Yep just watch him he is unreal.

Almost everything he does is sooo f**king good.

1) His tracking back and tackling/stealing the ball is second to none. He is tirelessly and relentlessly at the heals heels of everyone virtually the whole game and gets the ball 90% of the times he commits.

2) His passing and ball control is top drawer, once he gets it he rarely loses it and on the rare occasion he does see point 1.

3) His movement and runs are top drawer, virtually always an option and when he's not he usually makes a run to drag an opponent out of position to make a little bit of space for someone else.

4) Probably the only place he can improve is his finishing. Think I heard them say he was the only player to hit 100 games so far under Klopp and is his top scorer on 30 goals.

Just a little under 1 in 3 which isn't too bad with everything else he does but a few more goals would be great.

He is currently my favourite player and has been for a while. I think we would struggle quite a bit if he was injured for an extended period.

Quality player, two tidy finishes.

It's early December and he's already scored as many as in his first season (11), and is only 1 off his total from last season. Those are very good signs - although his league numbers could do with some improvement (5 in EPL & 6 in the UCL).

As I remember saying a while ago, I don't think Klopp plays Firmino upfront thinking "it's OK if he doesn't score much, he runs around a lot", but rather expecting him to "explode" as a goalscorer at some point. Hopefully this season will be the one where he adds more goals to the fantastic teamwork he's always provided us.

Always rated him. Absolute bargain when you think about what he contributes. I never hear from fans of other teams knocking him because they all think he’s quality.

Yep, always expected his strike rate to improve. I often said that if players created as much for him as he did for us then people would see a player knocking in 15 - 20 goals in the league.

It's nice that he's getting the recognition he's long deserved, pure class, epitomised again by how he didn't tap that one from Mane in which would have bagged him £45k, team players, completely selfless at this level are absolute gold dust. That doesn't mean he isn't selfish when he needs to be, but only when he needs to, that level of decision making is something I've always admired and now he has the support cast to show it we're seeing exactly what he can bring out in others and what real threats around him can do for him.

Our attack, as a pundit pointed out, is right up there with City's, I wouldn't swap ours for theirs, even though I absolutely love KDB and Jesus as players I just prefer the interchangability of our lads. Still, that's the attack pretty much sorted, we just have to tweak a little in midfield and allow some of our lads to develop this year in defence such as Gomez and TAA/Robertson. Get a couple in Jan for the rear guard and we'll be looking very strong.

On for hitting 20 goals this season

Amazing player, has a bit of everything but isn't a jack of all trades master of non. Never stops working and is our cleverest player I think. Plus, his attitude is infectious. The guy loves football even cold rainy days in England, he's still loving it.
The guy is unique, it'd be a crime if we didn't look to add more players of his quality over the months and years. Salah was a great buy, we've got Keita coming. In fact the main thing to sort out first is the goalkeeper.

I thought his all round display tonight was utterly brilliant.

Oh almost forgot his passing was not great previously but he seems to have sorted that out aswell.

Yup he is going to end up with something like 20/25 goals 15 assists in all comps....even after all of that he does so much more.
