Thinking about what's going through the lads heads. If they can't be bothered they don't deserve the red shirt. If they do, do they even want to listen to the guy who's tactics got them no wins in the last six games?

We could find a leader if one of them steps up. Someone needs to drag us out of this winless run. Be it the manager, coaching staff, the captain or any other player..Get in.

We've not had a match prediction poll for a while, maybe re-introducing it will turn our fortunes around.

      Win, Lose or Draw.

Clutching at straws has just been taken to a whole new level...

Not sure if I have enough meds to get me through another 90 mins of watching LFC.
I don't know if we will win lose or draw and why should we even care when the owners can't be arsed to show up for games or make decisions that are right for the football club. 0=0 draw and a deafening silence at Anfield

Rudy Gestede will do that instead, we couldn't handle him at Anfield last year in the Cup.

Villa are absolutely sh*te right now but I still don't fancy us to win this one.

You can get your life Sherwood is working all week on playing to Gestede.

                 Bogdan
      Clyne Sakho Skrtel Moreno
              Can Milner Allen
                 Coutinho
                Ings Studge

Bogdan in. Am loosing patience with Migs. Can stop shops, sure. But puts the fear of God in me with ball at feet and flapping at crosses.
Lovren I wouldn't have selected anyway, Sahko should get a run now. At home, would start Moreno ahead of Gomez.
Milner needs to become the player he thinks he is ... a midfielder who can influence a game. Get a grip on it James ffs.
In Cou/Ings/Studge, there is the hope of goals.  Cou needs to calm down and make the simple pass. Ings is in form.

Benteke out might be a blessing. F**k the long ball sh*t. Get it down on the ground between Cou/Ings/Studge and we have a chance.

Can't say am in any way confident. Flip of a coin. BR on knife edge. But we still should have enough quality to beat Villa. Should...

This is the team I think Brendan will put out (hopefully in a diamond in midfield)and which will force a well deserved draw. Think we would need to score twice to win this.... something everyone knows we don't do anymore.

Villa without Benteke shouldn't be too much of a threat so £32million well spent and should enable us to play with more freedom.

      1-1 Sturridge

             2 - 1 to us.

Can't see Gestede NOT causing us bother after the Blackburn cup tie last year.  But I can see Ings and Sturridge working well together as long as we can link midfield and attack, with some decisive penetrating passes.  The two boys up front are (should be) sharp and mobile enough to pull the AV defence around and make holes.  Micah Richards has been their one positive at the back, so it's vital we play to Ings and Sturridge's strengths.
Bogdan all day long in goal.  His blood's up.

It hasn't been this difficult for me to get excited for a game since Roy was in charge..... I have no faith in our ability to win or to be entertaining..... I'd honestly pray for a loss if it meant it was BR 's last match in charge..... Sad days     :'(

I've never been one to hate on the owners. Up til now, I've always reasonably pleased with the amount of money made available for transfers and I haven't really had a problem with the wage restrictions either. I firmly believe that we have spent enough on fees and wages in the last 4 years to have a squad capable of winning titles, even with selling 3 of our best players (Torres, Suarez, and Sterling) along the way. If we had competent scouts, an effective transfer committee, and  (most importantly) a manager who could get the best out of the players at his disposal then I believe we'd be competing for 1st rather than 4th. However, their unwillingness to take action when it is so desperately required is beginning to sour my opinion of the owners....

I think BR got lucky with this one as 'his' signings Benteke (doesn't fit into Liverpool way of playing) and his home boy Lovren getting injured.

So, it is good news for BR and us that we have Ings and Sturridge up front and not Benteke/Sturridge. Also, Sakho will be back too.

Seeing as though we have not scored more than 1 goal since QPR last year and we can't defend I would take a draw now!

Hearing it will be 3 at the back Can, Skrtel, Sakho with Clyne and Moreno wing backs. Allen and Milner in the middle with Coutinho behind Sturridge and Ings.

So we have a CB in Gomez but we play Can and whilst doing a decent job for a while last season he soon got found out there.
