I think BR got lucky with this one as 'his' signings Benteke (doesn't fit into Liverpool way of playing) and his home boy Lovren getting injured.

So, it is good news for BR and us that we have Ings and Sturridge up front and not Benteke/Sturridge. Also, Sakho will be back too.

Bit harsh on Benteke, I think he's a good player and let's be honest he's not been fully fit for the last few weeks and has only played 45 mins with Sturridge so far. Can hardly judge that partnership yet.

I know I am being harsh on Beteke and hope he comes really good for us. I just like the idea of Ings and Sturridge up front with the energy shown by Ings so far and the goals scored. Who know, he may be able to take a defender or two away from Sturridge to score the goals tomorrow.

Massive game for Brendan, but as well as the players. They need to be held accountable as well as some (most) of them have simply not performed up to what is expected of them. I personally would like to see this:
                        Migs
      Clyne   Skrtel   Sahko   Gomez
                        Lucas
                 Milner   Lallana
                        Couts
                 Studge   Ings

Fill the bench with those who are fit. We need to start expanding the pitch again. This team has speed in it to counter attack when needed, the legs of Milner and Lallana to be box-to-box, and the skill of the middle four to retain the ball. Back 4 should focus on the clean sheet, I don't go about them bombing forward. Focus on the basics.

I like what I've seen so far from Ings and hope he gets a start tomorrow.

The dye has been cast in regard to Brendan's future in my opinion.

Time to give Bogdan a chance, I will put the poor attempt at saving the Carlisle goal down to lack of match sharpness.

       Migs is bloody awful............

No kidding!! I want so badly to get excited for this game, but I just can't.... It will almost certainly be a dull affair and I wouldn't be surprised if it ends 0-0

That's how bad it's getting at the moment, I really am not getting excited for the match at the moment.

Sturridge and Ings to partner upfront.

From tomorrow onwards, they will be known collectively as 'Sting'.

Amazing there are so little posts in this thread but judging by the current climate at the club not at all surprising.
If we lose or draw then I think he is gone by Sunday or Monday.
If we win and play well then I hope he is given a few more weeks to see if there is any chance at all of turning this around.
I don't think he can but I also don't want to see a Liverpool manager racked over the coals and treated like sh*t.

Only 31% going for a win so far! There really is a dark cloud hanging over us atm.
Sad that when we had S&S we through we we win every game, lets see how we get on with Double D instead!

'Stings' are going to score 5 today. Hattrick for Ings and 2 for Sturridge. Sherwood is going to Kop is today from Liverpool.

We are going to win 5-0 - no question. You heard is first here. :)

And all those muppets spouting 'Hope we lose so BR gets the sack,' do one, go and support the chavs.  That's their mentality.

Whoever the boss is, support the players.

I hope the players are up for this today and have had strong words with one another in training. Sick of seeing them look like they're a team in training but then not fighting for each other in the pitch.
